After NVC receives IV and AOS packets, how long til interview?

The NVC has received the IV and AOS packets. How long, more or less, from this point until the actual interview in Bogota, assuming that there are no RFE's or other problems? My wife already has all her immunizations, only needs the medical and lab work which will be done a couple days before the interview. So as soon as the packet gets received in Bogota we are ready to send in the form stating we have all the documents, etc. DS2100?

I am asking this question because the statistics on this site say the average time from NOA2 until interview for Colombian IR-1/CR-1 is 155 days!!! That is crazy. It has been 30 days so far for us, but they have all info at the NVC at this time. I am hoping that those stats include a lot of slackers who just simply did not turn in their paperwork very quickly.

If I have read everything correctly there is still one more round of forms for you before getting an actual interview date.. The NVC sends the documents to Bogota who then require a form (DS-2100) to be sent in that basically says "Yes I have all the forms for the interview". They then set up the interview - if they get the form returned in the first two weeks of the month then the interview is scheduled for the following month and if after the two week mark in the month then they set the interview in month after next.

The NVC has everything now.. so say it takes them three weeks to get your paperwork to Bogota and another 10 days for your spouse to send in the DS-2100 form (I think I have read this can be done through email) you would probably have an August interview date.

Standard disclaimer: Just going off what I have read, I'll be watching your timeline to make estimates about my own :)

I wasn't sure I was correct, had to look it up :) According to the consulate information page on what needs to be given to the Bogota embassy before the interview is set:

DS-2100 and DS-230 are to be sent back as soon as possible, include your e-mail address on DS-2100 and they say they will notify you of receipt via e-mail. You can then start looking on their website for interview date:

http://bogota.usemba...pointments.html (English)

http://spanish.bogot...res.htm(español)

...So it looks like the DS-2100 (four pages - one page to be filled out) and another DS-230 (only part I). The instructions on the DS-2100 say they can be mailed, faxed, or sent as email attachment.

we had case complete at NVC end of September 2010, and received notification on Dec 5 that my wife's interview was scheduled for Jan 5 2011. The DS 2100 is for K visa applicants. You have already submitted the DS 230 to NVC. NVC will notify the embassy that you have all documents ready for the interview, as you will have already submitted them.

I spoke with NVC today. They said my AOS was received by them and already OK'ed without RFE. Now they are just processing my wife's IV packet and verifying documents. They said this part could take as long as 20 business days....one month. The person I spoke with then said if all was well then they would put us on the list for the Embassy interview. That the NVC does that and not the Embassy itself. The Embassy only tells them the number of available slots there are to be filled.

She then told me that they will post the list for the following month by the 15th of the current month, but sometimes like this month, they will probably post it on June 17 (next Friday). After that they do not add anymore to the list.

So I am hoping they process her papers quickly next week. It has only been in their hands one week, but they processed my AOS papers in less than a week. Got my fingers crossed.

Like others cant say for colombia, but from reciving to case complete in the Uk seems to be around 3-4 weeks then transfered to embassy in London approx 4-6 weeks for interview

OK, that is pretty much what I figured...2 months until interview after receiving all documents and forms. Thanks.
