Here is my experience. I filed my I 130 in January. .. priority date 1/31/11, NOA 1 dated 2/7/11. I filed an expedite request on May 10th for reasons i wont go into here..They say they will get back to you in 5 days or slightly longer. that same day they asked for more proof for my expedite request, I faxed that information the next morning. 3 weeks with no word i contacted my Senator and was advised Senators handle state matters and immmigration is federal and was given the information for my local congressman. my congressman's office contacted USCIS and were told that my expedite request cannot be acted upon until the background checks are completed. My spouse lives in Indonesia, apparently not the fastest country for background checks. My congressman advised that not even their office can help me until the background checks are done. Still waiting...

I guess LoriCap2 experienced something new. Did you try to expedite this now, or that was done earlier? Just curious as to you are already over 7 months!!!!!! Your I-130 should get approved at any day and time (if that's the noraml range for Indonesia).

Again, my 2 cents on processing your case, if you don't get help from Senators, don't wait for them, continue calling USCIS everyday, in the morning, and afternoon with the goal of trying to open an SR. Once you are able to do that, things will change a lot. You have to be really persistent and cool headed (which I lack) and get the work done. your timeline shows that you didn't even get an RFE. What's taking so long? :bonk: :bonk:
