Hey Loto,
I heard that during interview (specially in Mumbai) they are putting much weight on the bona-fide marriage questions regarding to your and spouce's first meeting, I mean how did you meet first time, who arranged the meeting (incase of arranged marriage), how long did you know each other before marriage etc..

I don't know any strong proof to support answers of such questions, you can think some of.

Any letters from the parents or relatives, wedding invitation card and all pics before marriage etc. would be helpful, in this case.

Loto,

is this in regards to what people will bring to the interview?

the reason i'm asking is because this was needed for the i-130 packet so i sent them a copy of our marriage cert and birth certificate of our daughter.

not sure if i read it on the instructions paper or the site itself that for the i-130 packet, we only needed to send one of the items from your first list and another one from your secondary list.

thanks in advance

giamimigio,

There are 2 levels of loading - front and back load.

Some people will do both front (I-130) and back (interview) load.
Some will do minimal front load (I-130) and more back (interview) load.

You are fine, in your case. I also did same like you, minimal front load.

Some of this stuff requires our spouses to have ssn and if there still living in another country, how can we do joint on a lot of things. Like I have married on my auto insuracne and i have the discount but becasue he is not here and does not have a DL he is not listed on my insurance as a driver or anything. So with the distance and no ssn what can i do as joint???

Thanks Samoray :star:

Let me add one more: Joint title of the car

Come on guys, please add more. I'll compile a final list and will add in the EZSpouse guide.

Loto

Angel Eyes Yuseef,

Read from the beginning of the thread.

All are welcome to add their own points here. Some items listed here may not be applicable to everybody.

So, if you don't have a kid with your current spouse, how will show you kid's birth certificate?

Richi,

Lawyers cannot make a birth certificate of an un-born child of the petitioner and the beneficiary and guarantee the I-130 approval and subsequent visa :star:

This is the list we are preparing from everybody's feedback, just to minimize the hiccups in this IR1/CR1 process about the bona-fide relationship, that many are complaining here.

Each case is individual as we know Loto, there's no helping some people. You've done all you can to help out in a huge way.

When filing, people - ie petitioner and beneficiary have to also confer and look at their options at what they can show a genuine relationship / ongoing.

There must be even more things that hasnt been mentioned but you've exhausted the list with a job well done.

or the other option if the petiioner/beneficiary cannot think of anything/cannot provide anything/cannot be bothered to look themselves is..............to put all their trust in a lawyer!! :D
