Hi All,

I had my interview with the embassy last Tuesday (5/11/2010) for H1B visa renewal and I received a green slip - Form 221g requesting for 2 additional requirements: pay slips and Income Tax Returns (ITR).

The embassy kept my passport and the other documents inspected during the interview.

Has anybody heard or received a green 221g letter? How is it different from the other slips? and how long will it take them to process and release my passport/visa?

I'm worried because my vacation leave ends on 5/28 and I don't know if there will be enough time

The faster you get the info that they need to them, the faster you will get it back. Once they have all info they need it SHOULD issue out in a couple of days.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

Thank you for your reply... I just mailed in the additional documents today (5/14). I hope the processing time won't be too long....

Does anybody know what the different colored 221g forms mean?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
