How much should an MMR vaccine or titer cost?

This civil surgeon who is willing to assist my wife with her I-693 has reviewed her DS-3025 vaccine supplement and has determined that she is good to go for vaccines. I have googled some prices, and even compared among the Mumps, Measles, Rubella vaccines that my military medical unit purchases. It is stupid that only USCIS approved doctors can do these tests.

My wife's DS-3025(vaccination supplement) shows that her MMR is "COMPLETE". Also, the civil surgeon has said that all shots are complete, and has claims that now my wife will require a titer or another dose for proof of immunization.

How much should I expect to pay? I estimate each dose should only be around $10-15. What is the maximum amount I should pay to include her services and the I-693 paperwork? She also says the MMR titer will also be about the same price. I don't want to walk into her clinic and have to pay $200 for a single dose of MMR.

I think she just wants to make a small cut, but I think I may be willing to make the sacrifice to get this paperwork done.

Thank You,

Adam

P.S.

I am situated in the Burlington,Vermont area and don't have health insurance for my spouse or myself.

Adam,

If I am remembering correctly, your wife entered on a K-1 visa. If this is correct, and according to her vaccination record, she will only require testing to prove immunity for measles, mumps, rubella; or she can have another dose of this vaccine (MMR). The cost is similar and we can discuss this further at the appointment. All the other requirements seem to be complete. I could see you a week from tomorrow, April 16 at 9am. Let me know if you could make this appointment time.

My wife is on a K-1 visa, and the I-485 instructions cite

8. Fiance (e)s

If you are a K-1 fiancee or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancee visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your Form I-485.

Am I in the clear and so I can just submit her I-485 with vaccination supplement?

I also have to get another MMR vaccination shot eventhough my DS-3025 form stated vaccination complete.

I paid $67 for the MMR shot at CVS minute clinic. But you can get cheaper price at the local health department.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Yes, you only need to submit vaccination supplement as your medical was completed.

US immunization requirement requires two doses of MMR. She needs a record of two doses of MMR or a titer. Although it is marked as complete, it appears that she has only gotten one dose for Measles, Mumps and rubella vaccine. That is the reason why the CS may want the titer. IMO I would opt for the vaccine instead of the titer if they are priced the same because she will need second dose if it comes back as underimmuized for MMR. The vaccine can be completed at any health facility and runs 50-70 USD for it.

You can risk just sending only the vaccination supplement with the AOS. However, there are been many people who gotten request for evidence from USCIS for the vaccine transcription (I693) when sending in the DS3025. So they end up having to go and get it done anyway. So have gotten away with just sending the vaccine supplement.

I forget what I paid but the CVS Minute Clinic should be around the bottom as far as cost for vaccinations.

You have a nurse practioner instead of a DOC but there is minimal wait usually.

You will (surprise!) find them in mostly upscale neighborhoods because they do NOT accept medicaire,

but they will accept AETNA. You may get a bill for a modest co-pay later, but we paid nothing

until we got the bill. I think it was around $26.

Will there be a strong possibility of being RFE'd for I-693, even if it cites shots complete on the DS-3025 and only one MMR shot?

Thank You,

Adam

If you have only one MMR shot, that doesn't mean complete. How you said DS-3025 is completed? Normally MMR needs two shots to complete in one month interval. If your medical not complete, they will RFE you for I-693.

You should read thoroughly the VJ threads cuz many there.
