Hi, Is there anyone here who already reported to the Philippine Consulate their marriage? I already saw all the requirements at their website and on May 23rd, it will be our 1 year anniversary. But just wondering if you have any idea on where should I get the Affidavit of explanation for delayed registration? I know it should be notarized but do I have to type it and have it notarized or notary public person will do it for me? If you have some examples too. I would be happy to see it. Thanks.

I got married in 2006 and filed Report of marriage to the Consulate 2 years later but I didn’t have to explain why it was late or delayed either. No need to go the consulate for this you can do it by mail just have the registration forms notarized.

May I reiterate? You're saying for report of marriage, you don't need to personally appear to the consulate office? Just have the documents needed ready then you can mail them yeah?

Reunited for good and it feels so good!

really? when do you think are they going to that again?? well I had no idea then that we have to report our marriage here esp if we need to renew our passport.

and btw, in the ROM checklist it dint mention anything about the GC as one of the requirements, did u include yours when u report your marriage? I might just call them for further info. thanks a lot!

There's no requirement to report your marriage unless you have to renew your PP. Just take MC with you when you travel.

Won't be long until you have a US PP with your married name. You'll only need a new Phil PP if you want dual citizenship.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Can someone verify if you need an Affidavit explaining the delayed registration of marriage? I live in NY but was married in CA so I have to mail my documents. I just want to make sure I have everything in order. Where can the Affidavit be downloaded? I looked but cant find it.

MikeandJoana....please reply if you see this. Thanks!

At the moment, they don't have any outreach program scheduled. Just check the website regularly for a press release. They used do the outreach program twice a year, IDK this year.
