Hello there,

-is the original birth certificate needs to be sent with the forms or the copy of it will suffice? Also, is form DS-158 (i see it under the example forms in this site including form FC-29) need to be filled out? what about I-134, tax transcripts, and supporting documents (picture, etc.)? Do they need to be taken to the interview, or they should be sent with the forms?

Appreciate your answers.

Regards,

Yasar

:guides: and visa instructions. You will be told what to bring.

** moving from "K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports" to "K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process and Procedures" as the prior forum is for case updates/progress and this one is for questions**

Hello,

Thanks for moving the thread. I had read the guide. However, I thought I would get some input from the people who applied for K-1 in U.S. Embassy in Islamabad. Sometimes, the procedure is different from embassy to embassy.

Regards,

You need to bring the I-134 because that is the financial support. You need the following items:

  • Bank Statement of Saving or Checking Accounts
  • Form I-134, Affidavit of Support
  • U.S. Federal Tax Returns for the three (3) most recent years - 2009, 2008, 2007
  • Proof of employment
  • W-2 Form - 2009, 2008, 2007

I hope everything works out for you.
