just an update, i e-mailed anhing corp, and they told me their closest local distributor. i went there a pack of 12 was ba muoi hai. btw, the one i got has 30% methyl salicylate and 14.5% menthol

Ba muoi hai do la? Not bad. They're about $3.50 for a single bottle in the Asian grocery stores around here. Same formula. I never asked about quantity pricing. I guess I should before I go back to VN.

certainly not ba muoi hai dong.

It was $32 OTD for 12, so $2.67 a piece.

If you buy it at grocery store, for sure ask them for bulk pricing, also, ask if you pay cash, if there's any discount. B-)

also, maybe in the OC, it could be cheaper, though, not worth it for me to drive way out of the way just to save a few bux.

There's a large Viet Kieu community here the SF bay area as well, but this stuff is popular with pretty much all Asians. They sell it at the Chinese and Filipino stores, as well. Many of the stores up here charge the same prices as the big outlets (like the Lion supermarket chain), but they don't charge sales tax. In fact, I remember another white guy arguing with the people at 101 Tea Plantation that their not charging sales tax was illegal, until I explained to him that California law requires retailers to PAY sales tax to the Board of Equalization, but it doesn't REQUIRE them to charge reimbursement for this tax from their customers, although it does ALLOW them to charge reimbursement. Most retailers charge the sales tax reimbursement, but some Asian retailers don't. You can save some additional money if you find a retailer who will give you the same price without charging you tax.

Sorry for jumping into a thread in the Vietnam subforum, but this topic intrigued me because I LOVE medicated oil (of whatever brand) :D I think it's a very Asian thing and I love it! I brought it with me to Spain and the US when I was studying/visiting, and whenever I felt homesick I took the oil out and used it, and I felt at home :P I use it for stomach aches and back aches, mostly. I never stick it into my nose, though!
