Come on everybody lets let him/her know how bad our education system is :pop:

That is not what i was hoping to know looking_up- if you got nothing to response in this post-that's fine.I certainly dont need to hear anything crappy about the Philippines-not worth of my time.

I think you took his post incorrectly he said "lets let him/her know how bad OUR education system is...

Its hard to compare the two, if you can get into the vocational course with your HS diploma from the Philippines great...I could show you many who graduated HS in US and can't hardly count or read on a decent level.

By our I mean the USA. There is alot here on the left that are more than willing to point out the flaws of the USA, thats what I was referncing too. As far as our educations system here in the USA, it sucks, compared to the Philippines uh I dont know, my wife is one smart woman thanks to her upbringing and the education system.

your Philippine diploma is = to an American diploma.

i don't think looking was taking a swipe at the PI. i think it was more at the US education system...which isn't all that good.

Well i think it'ss not how bad the system is-it's always up to the person and im so aware of that.Anyway, thanks for the straight answer to the post

Philippines high school diploma is 10 year diploma, vs 12 year diploma in US. Most of the time, if you can pass the English and Math competency tests with at least a H.S. equivalent, you should have no problem. Most community colleges offer those tests for a small fee, or for free, if you are registered.

hey i went to high school in pakistan (that is like philippines ten years of high school) and i had two years of collage in paksitan too, but when i applied for the admission here in usa in community college the advisor told me that 12 years of study count high school diploma in usa, but i still had to take act which is easy and i did not take any remedial courses, but if u have only high school then u do need to take remedial courses in usa bcz u only have ten years of school. hope some one can explain to u more. good luck. abby n sheryl

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

njaxfl: if they do want you to take an assessment test, don't be offened. i was out of high school 9 years when i went to college....they made me take one....i had to take a couple 'refresher' courses. its not a pass fail test. its only to make sure you will be able to keep up with the courses you will be taking.
