i was just talking to a couple while waiting for my turn for infopass.
and they're having an issue that i can totally relate!!!

>>> WIFE gave birth in the Philippines during vacation for 4 months. and they were not able to bring their baby over when they came back coz they were just thinking that they cant do that since they are still LPRs and will have to wait 2 more years for citizenship!!!

SHE WAS WRONG!!!! she could have went to the embassy and asked for a CHILD WAIVER FOR LPRS

They will give visas to child born abroad during mom's visit as long as

a. child is not 2 yrs or older during visa application
b. its MOM's first trip back to US after giving birth
c. proof of pregnancy (prenatals, ultrasounds, doctor's certificate, pictures ...lots of pictures!!!)
d. child and mom will be back in the US 30 days after child's visa issuance


the visa process will take 10 working days after applying and should be in person at the embassy.....

believe me!!! i did all these even if i didnt know that its possible. i thought USC mom's can only do that..... but NO!!!

married since March 28, 2005
I-130 filed: July 27, 2007
NOA #1: Aug 6, 2007
NOA #2: October 29, 2009---was approved by USCIS...


--NVC--
December 12, 2009 - Case# generated from NVC
December 17, 2009 - hubby received his letter from NVC
