Amigos,

All of these posts gave me a great sense of relief.

Still, I feel inclined to ask, is there perhaps some letter or other document we could obtain from the state department that clarifies the issue? I will call the state department's customer service number and ask, but I typically get lost in their system or receive no response to messages.

I had to insist to Spirit Air too that my fiance was NOT returning. She booked the ticket. I'm just afraid that once we're at the airport and in line they'll pull that stunt again and pressure us to buy an extra leg, or worse, prevent her from getting on the flight. Ouch. After 10 months of waiting I'm not sure how I'd react to that, but I doubt it would be kindly.

Cheers,

Mike

No, a round trip ticket was/is not required. When I booked for my fiancee, R/T tickets were less than One Way...I used my airline miles earned from my trips to visit her. One way was exactly half of round trip.

Which Airline? Maybe some have different policies, or maybe they're taking the anti-terrorism thing a bit too far...

Then again, things may have changed since we entered.

My wife came from Guatemala on K-1 last July one way ticket. No problems leaving Guatemala or arriving in the U.S. as you are handing them your K-1 packet when you arrive .
