How can I speak to a live operator at IRS?

Hi,

My husband faxed the form to get his transcripts over 3 weeks ago. He has not received them. He called the IRS last week to request it automatically via the AVR.

We want to get copies faxed to us asap but there is no number or option on the menu that puts you through to a live operator. Does anyone know how we can reach one? Will they fax it asap?

Appreciate any info.

I call them last week 4 days later I got them, but if you're in hurry there is no need to if you're sending w2's and federal tax return, NVC stated that in their website.

We have the tax returns and W2's but want to send transcripts too!

I looked for you on the IRS website I found this number 800–829–3676 I tried it it work and I can talk to an operator

call 800–829–3676 chose 2 and wait

Hi,

You can have him call the 1800 829 1040 number. He will need to make the necessary selections to get information about his personal tax file. This will put him through to a real person. But he should be prepared for a very long wait on the phone because it is tax season. I did this last year and my transcripts for the last 4 years were sent to me in a matter of days or I think it can be faxed to you but I'm not certain about the faxing. You can also contact your local IRS office to find out if you can walk-in and have them print the transcripts for you.
