Does anyone know where I can get practice tests in Russian? My fiance wants to take some practice tests prior to taking the actual driving knowledge exam at the division of motor vehicles in New Jersey. any direction or ideas on this are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Incorrect. From the NJ MVC website:

The written tests are offered in the following languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Japanese

Good to know...i am not from jersey, so i stand corrected.

However, still good to learn to read english.

Also, wouldnt the site offer practice tests in russian?? That would be helpful for his wife

It does not appear to. Even the driving manuals on the site come only in English and Spanish.

I am guessing the OP needs to call MVC HQ in Trenton (not one of the branches) and order a copy.

Wild guess, but I don't think the Russian test is one they get asked about a lot. I know a lot of Russian immigrants around here and they all speak/read/write passable English.

What about a translation website...they are tricky, i know the romanian one sucks, but he might be able to find one for russian that is usable

My wife has (had?) a complete Russian copied DMV handbook with practice tests, I think. She got it from one of her Russian friends here in the states. I'll ask her if she still has it as she passed her written exam a few months ago. Perhaps I can scan it and send to those that need it. Don't really remember what state it was from, but it sure helped my wife.

California has downloadable DMV handbooks in many languages, including Russian. [pdf] You can also call the CA DMV and they will send you a handbook in whatever language you need, free of charge.
