Please! I need a help! My fiancee sent the petition at the beginning of July, and we still didn't get NOA2. But I do not want to marry my fiancee, and do not wish to go to the USA to be with him. I want to close the petition. I know he will not do it, because he hopes to "change my mind". Please, help me to get rid off this situation! I do not want to wait and waste my time! Please help me.

Then dont go to the interview, dont buy a plane ticket and dont board the plane if thats what it takes to not be with him! Easy at that!

who cares how long it takes? that part has nothing to do with you if you dont want to keep going thru with it... If you are 100% serious you arent going to be with him, then tell him and again ignore the interview, dont accept a plane ticket and dont board the plane. Are you 100% sure?

i would think u could send a letter to whichever Vermont/Calif and state your cause from your viewpoint but i dont know what their next step will be and tell him you are sending it. Then just dont respond it may take while anyway but you are under no obligations at this point just go on with your life (unless someone else is trying to file for you)

You cannot close it. He petitioned for you. He would have to do it.

Stop communication with him and do not go to the interview.

Best of luck!

Thank you. Do you think it is enough to just avoid the interview? Do I have to cancel it "properly"?

It's enough.

Don't go to the interview and after a certain amount of time of hearing nothing from you (I'm sure someone knows the exact amount) Your case will technically be abandoned.

If in the next two years you have someone new petition for you, you will have to state that on the forms and you possibly will have to file a waiver.

Sorry it didn't work out with your fiance.

If you want to 'do' something, after the NOA2 is approved, the whole application process shifts to your home country. You would receive information about it from the US Consulate that covers your area. You could just send that information package back to them and tell them you are not continuing the process. That would be the soonest you could 'do' something to close it instead of having to wait the process through. Good luck.

That would work as long as you know when they have the case. You could send the letter in response to any correspondence you get from the Consulate or Embassy.

Truly, unless you have a new relationship with another US Citizen, just getting on with your life is sufficient.

I would think that you could get ahold of the Consulate or the Embassy and tell them that you do not want to continute with your visa process. You probably can't do anything until you at least have your case number though. You can just skip the interview and so on, but I would write a letter back to the Consulate/Embassy after your NOA2 comes just in case you get involved in another visa process later on down the road. It will be easier to justify ending your first visa process if they have received a letter in writing that states your wish to discontinue your process. I'm sorry that things did not work out between you and your fiance. I hope the future is bright for you :)

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

I would close it properly; but that's me. I hate loose ends.

Don't go any further with it. If it makes you feel better, write a letter or send an e-mail to formerly tell them you wish it to be closed. Even with that, it could take months to close properly.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
