They said 10 days...but last time my husband sent me mail, it was a certifided mail and took 9 days to get to me...I thought speed post would take less than that but they said 10 days...seems longer. Oh well...what's a couple extra days...

Thanks for the replies...

I used DHL 4 times till now and though its expensive yet it took around 5 days from Andaman Islands to Southern Indiana.

Now I have also once used Speed Post from Indian Post office, and my husband got the package exactly 5 months later........you just gotta love them. Glad it was just random things for him, no official papers.

Now I'm scared...I hope it doesn't get "lost" in the mail....I should've had my husband send it via DHL or fedex..since he still paid about the same for this...It's all original documents... :o(

INR,

Did you use Indian Postal Service? If so, their Speed Post for USA is partnered with USPS and you can track your mail. I was trying to find that specific link for you, but I guess Indian Postal Website has gone through some changes since I last checked.

I should clarify though about that 5 month thing, it happened only once, I do usually use Registered Mails of Indian Post to post packages to my husband and he gets them anywhere from 10 to 20 days, but not sure why he it took 5 months for that specific package.

Hi,

Thanks. I actually have the link...for India post, it says "No information available"...but I tried the same tracking # in the USPS website tracking...and it says the following:

Status: Inbound Into Customs

Your item is being processed by United States Customs. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

So I guess I should have it within 1-2 days right?

Thanks

I doubt all packages go to New York. Last package which I sent through DHL went through Arlington and was stuck there for almost 2 days because of security check (I sent my husband some home made sweets, I guess that's why they were suspicious :P )

Hope you will get your package in another day or two.
