NVC Expedite Request

Expedited visa, so many thinking there are special reasons, no at all, you need to fight your corner people.... you can expedite if your petition is over the projected time... just pot luck at the end of the day... granted there ARE special cases... but this does not mean other cases don't get approved because they are not "special"

Be warned, some expedited visa can increase the visa time if disapproved so think carefully about your choice to expedite.

Hello! Thank you. I got all your pm's and sent my replies as well. I appreciate all the help. Anton and I are going to fix our expedite requests within the week, we will start gathering documents which might be needed (facts about my pregnancy) and will ask my OB doctor to write a letter about my condition. I am already on my 6th month and we haven't even received our noa2 yet... there's not much time. Hopefully everything falls into place. Thanks again.

I had to make 4 expedite requests due to my pregnacy and complications of my pregnacy before I could find someone in USCIS who would take time to review my case! Forth time is a charm with numberous doctors letters! I am in my six month as well and our case was just approved this past week! Be persistant!

Im hoping the USEM in Lima will apporve the Expedite. I sent it to NVC on 11/22/10 and it was forwarded to Lima on 11/23/2010. So I am just waiting for a responce. Your request took 10 days to approve?? How were you notified of the approval??

I sent out the AOS package today it will arrive on 11/26/2010 because tommorow is a holiday. How long does it take to process?? Is it true I have to mail a copy of the whole AOS pacage to my husband for him to bring to his interview at the USEM??? Seems crazy! I am not sure what I should be doing during this time of waiting to best prepare for whats to come next...

Any tips would be appriciated!

I will say it take some days but not too long you will hear about it if you call every day to the AVR system, that'w why I knew my case was forwarded to the embassy the aprovall got to the lawyer till the 8th and she sent it the 29th think there are a lot of chances you get a december interview, also, take copies of everything DS 230 and I 864 and all docs you think are necessary like proofs etc. they didnt even asked me at the USEM in Bogota the reason to expedite. they didnt even mention it not at all, but i had proofs, medical history etc.

good luck!! keep updating!!! :)

I also mailed the AOS packet on 11/23, it was sined for on 11/26 but it still hasnt been entered into the system. I only know it arrived due to USPS tracking. Any ideas how long this takes? they told me 6-8 weeks by phone. My husband also emailed the DS-3032 on 11/22 and still hasnt been processed. Ayyy the stress of it all. I hope this is 'normal' or 'average'

If your expedite is approved, the expedited procedure takes precedent. Our info went right through the NVC without any glitch or delay. So Id say once you hear something it will be quick.

Id also say as you sent the expedite just before you sent everything else, they MAY not enter it into the system at the NVC in NH - and just forward everything to the consulate. Cant be sure, but give them a few days and if you havent heard anything by say Wednesday - give the NVC a call.

Zai & Gary, never say so. Every bit of info. is useful to others. Most of them will get out of NVC in a month. Nevertheless, there are persons who "unfortunately" trap in NVC as well. Your post will definitely be useful to them.

Loto

Lotto,

Need your help, i am jumping with joy, bit of excited and nervous...I came to work today and called NVC to check status of my case and come to find out that they have already assigned me a NVC case number and also says DS3032 and AOS have been mailed out on 26th. Now should i go ahead and email the DS3032 now or wait for the mail to arrive?

Regards,

Yes go ahead and email the DS3032 either generate a bar code (you can find the instructions on the website) or they will accept if you just write the case number on the top of the page (at least that is what the operator told me) and call NVC ask for your INN# so you can pay you AOS online today and not wait 6-14 days for the hard copy of the bill to arrive!
