Since I already provided original tax transcripts for the last 3 years in my application 3 months ago, is it ok if I bring copies at the interview or do I have to provide originals again?

The letter for the interview states original form 1722.

Since it is free, if I were you, I will bring original.

They are asking to bring original when you have interview scheduled.

I am glad I found this thread. I actually found this while waiting on the phone with the IRS. The rep explained that the 1722 was used awhile back to show that taxes were NOT filed (not sure why someone would need this, but I am sure there is a reason) anyway, the immigration officer will only need ORIGINAL transcripts. I have always had them faxes so I asked the IRS Rep to send me the original through the mail.

Wonder why USCIS hasn't updated this information. Clearly agencies do not communicate with each other.

How long does it usually take to get transcripts from the IRS?

I mailed them a request at least a month ago but have not received the transcripts yet.

Supposedly 10 business days. I fax the request in and so far had to repeat the request before they mail out anything. Not sure what's the problem with them --fax number is from Fresno, CA RAIVS Team.
