Type "скачать фильм бесплатно" or "скачать кино бесплатно" into google. There's a ton of sites. You can also search to find a specific movie, and then just type the name of the film into google and add "скачать бесплатно." Some sites require a program like eMule (the ones with the download links being ed2k:// or something similar, I've never gotten them to work on a mac), but a lot you can downoad straight from the site as .rar archives. So you download the movie in parts and then splice them together using an app. I use RAR expander for mac, don't know what people use in windows but they're very common little programs.
One cavaet is that these sites are all in Russian and the films lack subtitles, so if you don't speak Russian there's really no options on the internet unless you want to pay for netflix. It's really hard to find subtitled Russian movies, unless it's a Tarkovsky movie or something. Almost all DVDs that you can buy in the US will have subtitles though.
Another cavaet is that these sites are full of porn ads.
You can also try rutube.ru for streaming.

My wife's favorite is Corbina TV. It's free streaming Russian language movies and serials. Here is the site, but I don't know what she does to get it to work. She did have to register. They have advertisements just like American TV and that is likely why it is free.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. There's also a $99 box you can buy from Netflix that lets you stream directly to your TV. I'm really thinking about getting one...does anyone have one that can comment on quality? Streaming through my laptop works great, picture and sound quality is great, but it's a pain to have to drag all the cables out and hook my laptop up every time.
