I just recieved the DS-230 from my husband and he overlooked writing his name in telugu on the form (native language). can anyone tell me if this is going to create a problem? I dont like the thought of mailing all this again with a 3-4 week turn around time

If you can do it do it.... There is nothing that says the forms has to be prepared the beneficiary...

And if you know someone who can write those alphabets, you can have that person do it for you.

If you can get someone who writes fluently in telugu to write it for you, that would be best. The consulate we're going thru has been known to have the applicant write their name at the interview to see if it's like the signiture on the forms. They can also tell smooth writing from stop and start attempts at fluidity A native can more easily duplicate the flow of writing in their native language than a novice can.

The name in native alphabets is not a signature and hence anyone can write it. If you can't write it yourself, seek assistance from someone who can write it natively. (Think about those illiterates who can't read or write in their own language - someone has to write the name in native alpabets for them. However, signature is a different matter.)

Yes, I agree, Sanjiv.
