I submitted an F1 visa application for a family friend around 10 days ago, to the Recife, Brazil consulate office, and it still won't show me the application status when I enter all the details at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV. I put in what I believe is the correct information (which I got from the receipt e-mail when I submitted the application) and always get "Your search did not return any data." Should I worry about this, or does it take time to show up in the system? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey Everyone, My wife (GC Holder) and I would like to sponsor our niece (18yrs) to come live with us to ultimately experience something new. There are many ways for our Niece to come to the US (Student, Tourist, Nanny, etc.) but we were wondering what the best route was to get her here, with the potential of her staying the longest. I hesitate a student visa, because she does not know what she wants to study, and I do not want to put that debt on her. Tourist visa is only 6 months, and we would like to see her longer than that. From my understanding being a nanny, you could live here for two years, but not sure how that logistically works, and if we could have family be our nanny through a visa process. Hoping for some insight into our options with the maximum amount of time for her stay. Thank you!

hello, my name is Graciela I entered the United States with a J-1 visa, duration of one year and I only have 3 months left until my visa expires. A month ago I married my boyfriend, he is American, who is now my husband, I met him 3 years ago. My program is in Arizona and he lives in Florida and now I am processing the status change papers to be able to stay here. Law 212 (E) does not apply to my visa, the two-year rule. I would like to know if I have to notify USCIS if I change my residence in 3 months or do I simply process all the documents as if I lived with him? I am very confused because if I say that I still live in Arizona and at 3 I move to Florida and I already handed over the documents to USCIS, I don't know if there are problems because of that. Thank you!

Hello, my wife is from India and I'm a United States Citizen, if I file the forms necessary for a IR-1 in America, and she ends up getting a student visa to study in Canada as Graduate student (she is getting into a PhD program), can I transfer her embassy to Canada when she arrives (after DQ happens)?

Hey So, I have a complicated question. I am married to US Citizen, and applied for AOS and just received my EAD yesterday. Now my question is I do not want to lose my F1 so I am thinking about not using my ead. However, while filing out AOS it asked for "Have you ever worked without Authorization?" and I said yes since I have. So, my question is let's say if my I-485 were to get denied will I still lose my F-1 since I said yes to that question? even if I keep my F-1 active? Thanks
