  1. Hello All please help me out, filling out i130 form online for my spouse and I am stuck at Part 5 Question is "Have you EVER previously filed a petition for this beneficiary or any other alien? Should I Say "YES"? since I applied for my both parents back in 2021 and they are approved. my second question is if I choose here YES then the online application allowing me to put the information for only one parent. means, I only can put the information about my Mother either my father not for the both parents. so what should I do in this situation for better understand my question I uploaded the snapshot s of the screen where i am having a hard time. any help is appreciated. Thank a lot.
  2. When filling out the DS-260, the principal applicant’s given names don’t fit in the text box. It’s short by one character because i have 3 long middle names. It says that the name we enter must match the name on his passport. What should we do?
  3. I am a US citizen trying to bring my mother to the US and having a hard time going through NVC. NVC three times reviewed my documents and found them insufficient because we didn't have "birth certificate" in the file. Birth certificates don't exist in South Korea. I went to the state dept site and got the documents that substitute for birth certificate. I got through the phone line with NVC and also email inquiries - each time they gave me reasonable next steps but when I followed their direction, it got rejected every time. Now I contacted my senator (Kirsten Gilibrand of NY) but It has been 3 weeks since I submitted the casework and haven't heard a thing yet. My dad's case got approved with the same documents earlier this year. What else can I do in this case to move the case forward?
  4. I got an email from the NVC telling me to log into CEAC to check my updated status, when I logged in, my document status changed from submitted to "accepted", but I noticed there were two messages in the inbox and the first message says: "This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. " But then another message was sent after it saying: "All required applicant documents have been recieved and approved. Documentarily Qualified." I then got an email saying: "The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas. NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MONTREAL, CAN to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable)." So my question is which is it? Does this mean I should upload new joint sponsor documents to CEAC, or should I just bring new documents to my interview, or was this possibly a mistake? If anyone has experienced something similar, any help would be much appreciated!
  5. I needed to open a new topic about this issue to find answers. I resubmitted on May 11 and an additional document on June 21 and this happened. Today At 12:49am I got DQ from RFE from April 27 an resubmitted on May 11 and reviewed on July 13 without DQ. They also sent me an email that they will schedule an appointment with the US Embassy/ Consulate General. They also added a note the my case does not meet the minimum requirement for intending immigrant. Doesn't make sense, my household on the application is 4, 2 minors from joint custody, my spouse and I. My household is only 4 According to poverty guidelines for the lower 48 states and US TERRITORY, 125% for 4 is $34,687 and Im over $40,000+ according to my W2. I can even add a 5th person to my household. Why they didn't add this note on my first RFE on April 27 or July 13 when they reviewed the case without any DQ notice? Is this a error? Why is this going so hard on me? Is my case on hold until I submitt a joiny sponsor or will they send me Who should I add as a joint sponsor if so? My father is retired and receives social security and I can't seem to think of someone that I can add income as a joint sponer. She has siblings from her country, I think it has to be from US. Am I right? I need some advise 😩 Someone told me to wait for the interview without adding a joint sponsor and explain to them. That will be my wife since I can't go inside the interview.
  6. Hello, I am wondering how NVC contacts you with your case number when it is created. I want to make sure, so I can start checking my case status on the CEAC website. Note: Starting last month, NVC can no longer be contacted via phone, only through a public inquiry form! Thanks!
  7. Hi, I'm currently doing consular processing under EB2-NIW category. The way I understand it, there are at least two steps in which I will need to/can submit documents After receiving the welcoming letter from NVC, on the CEAC website such that I become "Documentary Qualified", and At the interview time I've previously obtained a J1 waiver based on "no objection" that I think I need to show somehow/somewhere. Do you happen to know in which of the steps above is the J1 waiver proof required (I-797C approval notice of I-612)?
