Hi Everyone! I'm trying to figure out the best option in terms of passport pickup from a dropbox location or delivery. Would those of you who have gotten a k1 visa from Mumbai share how long it took to receive your passport after the interview and which method you chose? Thanks so much! -
My wife visa I-130 had been approved by USCIS on June 21, 2022. Apparently, I became US Citizen just 3 days before the approval. So, the case got automatically converted from F2A to IR1. We submitted all the documents NVC asked in August and got DQ'ed by September 29, 2022. Since then we are waiting to receive Interview Letter. I tried to expedite by emailing NVCExpedite@state.gov, but it was denied. Then I tried expediting directly by AskNVC link and filled the form. It was also denied. Today marks 98th days since we DQ'ed. Cannot go through this every day. Mind you, my PD was 02-13-2020. So, almost 3 years since I filed for her.

Hi all, For those who have attended the Mumbai embassy interview along with step child. What are the supporting documents the embassy has asked? Do they require a letter for permission from biological father for immigration? Do they ask anything apart from that? Like custody papers? Thanks in advance. -
My parents who live in New Delhi, got their I-130 processed with a DQ date of Jan 4, 2022.Does anyone have an idea what DQ dates is Mumbai consulate processing now? Four months have passed since DQ status and no interview letter yet. They are in IR5 category. -
filed - Dec 2020 petitioner local - Atlanta, GA service center - Potomac beneficiary's country - India (Mumbai consulate) 130 approved - Sep 2021 NVC account created - Oct 2021 NVC documents submitted - Oct 2021 Document Qualified - Apr 2022 now waiting for Interview... expedite petition (undergoing shoulder surgery, and also a new born now stuck in India) but got expedite req declined - May 2022 can someone please shed some light. how long is the wait in Mumbai/India my wife and my baby now in India with uncertainty -
Hello everyone, I am the beneficiary and my case has been DQ'D at NVC and I am waiting for interview at Mumbai Embassy. My daughter who is a step child of my husband, her case has been approved at USCIS, but we decided to put it on hold before applying at NVC as they're documents we are awaiting for her to be DQ'D. My question is will it be okay at the interview if I say that my daughter will be joining later on and that she lives with my parents here in India, while I will be travelling back and forth for her. I read somewhere that if the dependent's case is pending at uscis or nvc, the embassy refuses the visa stating that it'll approve once the child's case is approved. Does the embassy takes interviews together of parents and kids in CR1 category or is it separate? Thank you in advance.
