RedenMay posted a topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMy boyfriend is a U.S. Citizen and working at the U.S. Air Force (currently in Japan and to be stationed in Guam this December). We tried to get married in Japan but the process is too long and expensive (The translations each documents are $50) and complicated, most Japanese can’t speak english so it’s hard to communicate. We are dating for 27 months now and we really want to be together, I live in the Philippines and Long Distance Relationship is not a joke. We want to get married and Guam and I’m already over thinking because we want to be together so bad, but with Trump we are both afraid that my Visa will get denied or my green card will take too long or we won’t be able to get married in 90 days. Please tell me how to do the process about the marriage in Guam so I can ready the requirements. Thank you in advance.
Hi, So I'm in a bit of complicated situation. My IR1 visa (through marriage to U.S. citizen, valid til the middle of September) already got approved. I was planning on flying to the U.S. early September due to my job contract. From where I live to where my spouse lives in the U.S. is about 16hr flight. I was invited by my friend who lives in Guam, where it's only 2hr flight from here. I would like to visit him for couple days hopefully this month but if I do with my IR1 visa, since I will be returning to my home country in couple days, there will be a few month gap til I actually move to the U.S. I'm afraid that the few months of staying in my home country after being granted green card at the airport in Guam may result in revocation of green card. I wonder if I can visit Guam with VWP not using IR1? I'm sure the officer at the airport will see the IR1 visa stamp on my passport though.
