Hello, We just got our IR-1 visa approved on December 12th, 2023!! We are now waiting for the visa to arrive and plan on booking the flight ticket once it arrives. I was wondering when booking flight tickets if I need to book a one-way ticket for my spouse or if it is okay to book a round-trip ticket and then cancel the return flight upon arrival to the US? I am asking because the one-way tickets seem to be way more expensive (twice as much) than round-trip tickets. Has anyone else booked their flight to the US this way?

Hi everyone! This might be a stupid question, so I apologize in advance. So my husband will be visiting the U.S. this summer for two weeks and we are looking at flights. They are all crazy expensive bcuz of fuel costs, so we are thinking about booking each flight on different airlines to save some money. He would have an inbound flight to US on one airline and a return flight booked with another airline. Does it matter if his return flight is on a different airline for his ESTA? or it doesn't matter as long as you have the return flight (regardless of the airline)? We have a pending I-130 so we will make sure he has evidence of intent to return to Korea (job, travel insurance, etc.). Thank you in advance!

My fiance id Russian, I am asuming she will go to Warsaw for her interview. She cannot go directly to Poland, she has a Shengen visa, and I was wondering what countries are the best to transit through! Thanks

My wife is awaiting her CR-1 visa interview, and we are trying to look at flights to enter the US about 1 month after her interview. One option appears to be flying on Air Canada via Toronto. I know CBP use preclearance for flights from Toronto airport. Is it ok to travel with an immigrant visa packet and complete immigration with CBP preclearance on that journey?
