We started our journey for the k1visa last october 2022. Then keep getting notified that there was an error found on our application. We received a RFE from USCIS for evidence support for an I-130 when we filed for K1visa. and then yesterday my boyfriend received an email again saying that he made a mistake on marking (x) on the K3visa instead of k1 . our letters and other documents states that we are really filing for K1 and made calls to clear such simple mistake .. the recent letter gives us like 15days to make an appeal or get denied .. I hope i could hear from someone who went through the same problem and could suggest better way to solve this. Another yr of this means 6th yr of our long distance relationship. Should we just start over again with the application?

Hi, I am trying to schedule an appointment for a J1-Exchange Visa and I have filled in a DS160 Form as the instructions say and than wanted to book an appointment. I logged in to my account and went to the page new appointment. I have filled in informations about which embassy and visa type I want to book an appointment for and then got to a page where I should write my passport information as well as the DS160 confirmation number, Sevis ID and project number. I copy paste the confirmation number from my confirmation letter in the mail and clicked next but as soon as that I got an error message saying that "The DS-160 number you entered is incorrect. Please try again." Had anyone here the same issue or knows how I can solve this problem? I have contacted the support 08938036830 but the employer there just said to try it again on Monday. Do you know if there is a technical support team for this? Any help would be really great. Thank you. (I have attached the screenshot of the page here also)

My husband (beneficiary) and I (USC) had our initial interview yesterday, which I think went really well and I was hoping for our application to be approved on the spot. It seemed things were going that direction when the officer who interviewed us said there was a name spelling error on my husband's biometrics. This misspelling was present on the biometrics request letter my husband received in August, and when he went to give biometrics they said they recognized that they messed up his name but that they would fix it and they took his biometrics that day. The interviewing officer said he put in a ticket to have the name fixed, but then he couldn't run the background checks until it was fixed and there was some possibility that my husband would have to redo the biometrics. He gave us a bunch of information very quickly if he approved the application, such and such would happen, we might get a letter in a couple weeks, we might get a call, we might get the green card in the mail, etc. It was kind of a nebulous 'wait and maybe something will happen' answer. He said we could call the information number in 30 days. Wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and how long it took to fix and get a final decision. It sucks that it felt like we were so close to being finished with the process and then because of their mistake we might have a major delay. We are checking the online account for updates daily, right now it still says 'interview was scheduled.' Any input is appreciated!
