Hello Visa Journey folks, I got a lot of help some years ago with my Venezuelan husband's immigration and later his naturalization. Now we are contemplating him applying for his daughter, since she is not seeing a great future for herself in Venezuela right now. I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate input if anyone has any. She is 19 and a half years old, and will be 21 in April of 2025. If she turns 21 before receiving the visa will that make the process significantly longer? Also, she was born after my husband's relationship with her mother had broken up, and as a result his name is not on her birth certificate. Her parents were never married to each other. She has known him as her biological father and they saw each other and communicated at different times throughout her childhood and adolescence. He was earning less money when she was young and her mother covered expenses, but later as Venezuela's economy deteriorated we have often sent money to help her with living expenses and education. He has many pictures of them together when she was young, and more recently when he has visited Venezuela. I think there are social media posts as well. Will this evidence be likely to be adequate to establish parent-child relationship? Is there anything else we should consider submitting? Thanks in advance.

I filed the I-134 petition on November, 29 and I have yet to get an approval for my Venezuelan beneficiary. A few weeks ago I sent USCIS a message directly from my account, and they said there is no current processing time and they couldn’t give me any case-specific information. Will I wait another week? A month? A year? Will I even get approved at all? Was my petition lost? Is anyone in the same situation? Can a lawyer do anything to speed up my process or help me to obtain any information about my case?

I'm currently filling out the online I-134 form and I am trying to provide evidence of my seasonal job that ended a few weeks ago. I have since filed for unemployment. This is what USCIS is requesting: Am I more likely to get rejected because of my job situation? How can I prove whether the position is temporary? Will pay stubs be sufficient enough? Last year's income and this year's income is well over the Federal Poverty Guideline for my household size.

Hey there, I apologize if I am posting in the wrong group. Last month I filed my I-129F form for my Venezuelan fiancé who is living in Peru. Around the same time I sent my form to USCIS, The Biden Administration launched a new entry program that allows Venezuelans to stay in the US. My question is how do I find more information about this? Could he apply for this entry program and our I-129F petition remain active? I called USCIS and the representative I talked to seemed unsure about whether it is allowed to submit an I-134 after submitting an I-129F. Thank you!

Hello, My girlfriend is a legal citizen of Venezuela, but currently lives in Peru with her 2 kids. I am about to start the process of moving her to the USA. I have already researched and understand the K-1 visa process, but I am lost on the passport requirements portion... My girlfriend has an expired passport and we need new passports for her children. She spoke with someone in immigration that quoted her $250 for her passport renewal and $350 each for new passports for her children. I thought that sounded really expensive so I thought the guy in immigration might be trying to pocket money. Is there anywhere online where I can apply for passports on my girlfriend's behalf? And do those prices sound correct?
