  1. (Sorry if content is in wrong category.) I (the beneficiary) already submitted my intent to marry letter on the I-129F petition, and my new signature there contains my first names, last names, and middle initial. It’s a new signature I recently took to using. At the same time, I got my first NBI clearance outside of K1 purposes. It had my old signature, only having my first name and last name. I will have to renew that NBI clearance soon… Fast forward to now, the petition has been approved (yay), and now I will actually need to submit a NBI clearance, a renewed more recent one at that, for the K1 process. I’m committing to using my new signature as much as possible. But my scenario might be this: the NBI forces me to use my old signature for my renewed clearance for the K1. If that happens, won’t I be in trouble since my NBI clearance has a different signature from my intent to marry letter along with the rest of my documents moving forward? Thanks :).
  2. I think I have a pretty good handle on what we need to do after we get our NOA 2 approval for our K1 visa (Philippines), but I am wondering if someone who has been through the process recently could put these items in exact chronological order, (and let me know if I am missing anything): Receive NVC welcome letter Submit DS 160 Pay MRV fee Schedule Interview (it seems my Fiancé must do this online and is not automatically assigned a date) Schedule Medical exam Attend Interview Schedule CFO Course after visa is in hand (AOSG is not required to leave the country for K1 visa as far as I can tell)
  3. Hello, We just received our NOA2 after 289 days, we are so happy. I have some questions though please. If anyone could help me out I would be so grateful. I know my fiancé the petitioner has to fill in the I-134, does he need to mail it to me after he fills it in or can he just scan it for me? Do I need the I-134 filled in in order for me to be able to go ahead and do the I-160 online? I booked my flight for February a while ago to go and see my fiancé in the US, if by some miracle the interview is done before then and I get the K-1 visa, can I not use it and use my ESTA as normal and then use the K-1 visa with the sealed envelope later within the 6 months time frame that I have for moving? there's no way I will be able to move by February unfortunately. If not, can I ask the Embassy not to schedule my interview before February? as the flights are non refundable. What are the original docs that my fiancé needs to give me for the interview? and which can be scans only? For the interview, do I need a copy of the I-129F form that we sent to USCIS, as unfortunately we forgot to make a copy of it before we mailed it out.
  4. How long is it taking to receive nvc welcome letter after i-130 case is approved? Married based case, spouse is us citizen.
  5. Hi all, Husband USC, Me UKC Since me and my husband have started this process and he has gone home, and found himself again, but now he wants to split from me and stay friends. Obv, I'm heartbroken but I'm not going to beg him to stay, because I think his long distance work has caused him to be too tired to continue with this. That being said, I overstayed my ESTA in 2017, by less than 180 days. Regardless I know I'll never be able to get an esta again. We haven't received NOA2 yet and I have yet to have that conversation with him about what happens then. I don't think he will pay NVC or go ahead. I would like to visit at some point so I can collect my belongings if it's really over, but I don't have strong tie to the UK with being married to a USC. I had cut all ties here knowing I was following him. So all I have is a job, I live in my parents spare room and no car finance or mortgage etc I just pay rent to my mum. Will I be able to obtain a visit visa from the embassy or will I have to wait for the NVC stage to expire?? Thanks in advance. X
  6. I just wanted to update people on my case . My case was not the normal case as we married proxy without meeting . I also sent them western Union receipts despite people saying they will think it Fraud . My case was approved . The other myth was you had to tell them about charges that you did under 18 . I didn’t tell them any charges underage and it was approve . I’m saying this just to say this . Don’t listen to no one advice on your situation even if it different because ever case is different. I will let you know how it goes at the interview when we get there.
  7. How long does it take lately between getting an NOA2 and getting an interview date in Mexico City? I'm anticipating getting my NOA2 sometime later this month or in February (I filed in April 2021), and I really want to know how long it takes until you receive an interview at the Mexico City embassy. On Mexico k1 pages I'm in, I see some people only took 2 months to get theirs, but some people took 8 months to get theirs. Is their an average time it has been taking lately? Thanks!
  8. Hello Everyone! We're pleased to have finally heard back, but are being asked to provide more evidence for meeting in the 2 year period before we filed. It says evidence may include but is not limited to photos and "any evidence" that would prove it. In our I-129F, we submitted evidence of three times we were able to visit each other before Covid 19 . This included boarding passes, photocopies of passport stamps, copies of flight itineraries, hotel itineraries, money spent from both of us. He visited me in the states twice, and I visited him in Canada once. The only problem is we didn't really take pictures those visits. Because of Covid, we weren't able to meet up again until Aug 2021, where we had four more trips together up until now, and this time went out and took a bunch of pictures and had more of a paper trail doing activities in the area (Before Covid we were both in school and broke haha). There are three problems for us: 1.) The RFE wants evidence from Mar2019-Mar2021, which we don't really have more evidence of 2.) The evidence we do have for meeting in that two year period only came from one of us or the other. If he flew we submitted his boarding pass, if I paid for the hotel we submitted my receipt. I'm not sure how to show that we were together, other than our itineraries matched up for our visits (lodging matched flights, bank statements matched payment for travel). Evidence was submitted as multiple photocopies or attachments of emails per page , re-printed with those pages signed and dated. This may have been a mistake. 3.) Our most solid evidence comes from a period outside those two years prior to submitting, where we have photos and more receipts. I'm wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation, especially with pandemic travel restrictions, and how they responded to it. Any and all advice would be appreciated!
  9. Does anyone have a clue as to why NOA2 estimated dates keep getting pushed back further and further? We received our NOA1 back in July and the original estimate was early March. Now it's mid May. The average time between NOA1 and NOA2 last year (at least for Ukraine) was about 7-8 months and now those who received their NOA1 back in Feb-March 2021 are still waiting for NOA2s. What is the bottleneck? This doesn't appear to just be a Ukraine thing but something going on for couples from all different countries. I see like 1-2 NOA2s received each day on the immigration timeline tracker, which seems awfully low given the amount of people who are on this site. Any news or updates that I may have missed involving staff shortages, delays caused by covid, etc. on this front are greatly appreciated.

  11. Hi everyone, I'm wondering how long receiving the NVC welcome letter takes in the Philippines right now? How long did it take for everyone here? My noa 2 was approved 3 weeks ago, I still haven't received my welcome letter and am unsure how long it'll take. And from there, does anyone know how long it'll take until interview? I'm getting excited and hope it's gonna be just a few more months from here. And which papers should I be preparing right now while waiting for the welcome letter? Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi People! I’ve been waiting on my NOA2 for 5 months. I would like to know if someone who also received NOA1 in April already get their NOA2. We still in a global pandemic and waiting never been so hard like is right now! If you are in same process and waiting as me, comment here, let’s support each other!!
  13. Hi everyone, My fiance and I applied for our K-1visa on August 27th 2020. We still have not received our NOA2. We also have not received any RFE. I have planned the move to the United States from Canada for the end of July. We thought that we had given ourselves a good buffer but with Coronavirus everything is delayed. In April we requested a follow-up on our case and 2 weeks later sent us an email basically saying "I know this is frustrating but we're working on it.". We just submitted another request and are supposed to get a response June 30th, but I'm worried were just going to get the same thing. We are anxious to start living together but I can't make any plans until we know this has been approved at the minimum. I have a few questions: Should we just switch to a K-3 Visa, or will that delay things even further? If this response has no information again, how to we contact the USCIS more directly (phone)? Has anyone ever been denied after such a long wait time? Has anyone been requested an RFE after such a long wait time? Thank you, A
  14. Hey guys. I copied Greenbaums intro to create a group for NOA2 for March 2021. Here you go: This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case on wards to your Embassy. Contained in the PDF below are many tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way. These are items that everyone asks for, so I thought I just post a PDF of them here for you to refer to when it's necessary. If you are new to this thread please read as these are most asked questions multiple times. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing
  15. So December 10th we received our NOA2. I have emailed NVC a few times and received our case # and invoice #. My fiancé has filled out the ds-160. Attempting to login to the ceas website it shows the same thing over & over that we need to fill out the ds-160. Is the only thing we can do is to wait for our “welcome letter” in order to have a account to submit forms and pay the fees?
