  1. Asking the question because we only filed one time evidence visit and now we have met two times after the first visit, making it three times and have more evidence. I am afraid we might not have enough altought there are no red flags for the Moroccan U.S embassy. We have an age gap of 9 yrs, I am well educated and been professionally working for 5 years now, and my passport has multiple european countries and other trips, I am just wondering if they take these things in consideration in the DS-160 too before refusing us as I heard they sometimes don't give chance to people to show proof.
  2. Hello, I filed an I-129 K1 visa for my fiance in Morocco. We had our NOA2 approved in March and it was moved to the consulate in Casablanca last week. We saw that the NVC case status was changed to "ready" today and I was wondering how we will be alerted or when we can schedule our interview. We submitted our DS-160 today, but I was wondering if I should pay the fee now to schedule an interview, or if we will be contacted about the interview by email before we need to pay. Any insight is appreciated.
  3. Avoid Dr. Janah at all costs. He was extremely rude to my fiance and hasnt provided our medical approval because he is retaliating against my fiance and making us struggle. My fiance heard the Dr tell his assistant that he will make my fiance struggle, just because he feels like it. the full story is very long but my fiance has literally done nothing wrong. We already reported Dr.Janah to the consulate. Anyone have any tips or knowledge on what we can do here?
  4. Hello all, Hope you are all doing okay. Here is the situation: My fiance an American lady, we have been able to meet one time last year and we applied for K1 and since we are afraid that we didn't front load the i129f application with enough proof it might get rejected, so we are planning that she will come to Morocco again this summer to meet and be together for 2 weeks and have a traditional morocco ceremony, because the Moroccan embassy familiar that it is important for us to do that and it is not regarded as actual marriage, and we plan to go to turkey later on this year, so we will have plenty of evidence to provide later on too. My question is, is it possible to take my fiance with me to the Casablanca embassy, because we really love each other and we don't want this to be rejected and we cannot do the IR1 visa because of some personal reasons, so maybe her being there with me it would help to show the agent that we really care for each other and establish that it is a bonavida relationship, and at least it would make them check the new evidence we have, since I know the casablanca embassy sometimes they don't care to check for evidence and might reject you. We applied using RapidVisa, so we are sure that all documents were organized and handled properly before submission. Any advice to make this a smooth process, we would appreciate it. Thank you.
  5. Anyone got DQ’d in February and received their interview letter? I got DQ’d on feb 8.
  6. I received an RFE yesterday stating that my marriage certificate didn’t meet country requirements. However the original marriage certificate has everything they’re asking about. It was prepared by the adoul, it has all the required signatures and judges stamp and signature. I also have the English translation! They said it needed to be an Aakd Zawaj?? I’m feeling so stressed can someone help me?
  7. Hello! What was your wait time for the interview for the US Embassy in Casablanca. We got DQ a week ago and I cannot wait to get her here already lol
  8. Hey everyone, I've been reading posts on this site for a few months now from those with Moroccan SOs about how tough the Casablanca consulate is and people's experiences with the K1 and CR1 visas. I wanted to present my plan to those who've been through the process or are going through it now and see what you guys think. Because of how tough the Casa consulate is, I'm strongly leaning towards doing the CR1 visa instead of the K1, as if I'm correct the CR1 doesn't expire and is more likely to be accepted/taken seriously. My plan is to marry on my 3rd trip, with each trip being about 3 - 4 weeks long. And obviously while the visa is being processed I plan on making more trips, but I read that it's important to front - load the I-130 application with a few trips. Is 3 trips a solid amount for that, and would 2 trips possibly be enough to frontload the application, if it was a total of 7 weeks? We will have been chatting for a little over a year before I visit him for the first time, and I'm 5 years younger than him (he's 29 and I'm 24) so no red flags with the age part. He's divorced but he was just married once to an Algerian woman (so not a Westerner). No kids on either side. He's unemployed now and it's highly likely he will be through the visa process as well. He's always worked and completed a university degree in Graphic Design in Turkey, but the company he used to work for only stuck around in Morocco for a couple years and after that it's been difficult to find steady work. Also he needs to work a lot on his English so that's what we're focusing on now. Will his unemployment affect his chances of getting the visa? I've read before that this doesn't really affect things because the Casa consulate is well aware of the high unemployment rates in the region. Also I'll probably need a joint sponsor because I don't think I'll be meeting the minimum income requirements for 3 years before I file for the visa. Would this affect the chances of success? Again based off my research it doesn't seem like it will because they just care about someone being able to potentially be responsible for 10 years. But I have heard some conflicting stuff about that My last question for this post is, is the Casa consulate still as tough now as it was years ago, in 2015 or 2016 for example?
  9. Hi there, I am going to Morocco next month to marry the love of my life. We have been seeing each other for more than 2 years now and we think now is the time to tie the knot. I am an American and my partner is a Moroccan. I was just reading the requirements to get married and it says that you need a medical fitness certificate issued by a Moroccan doctor to get married. I am actually diagnosed with oral herpes and my partner knows about it from a long time. Will it disqualify me from marrying her? In other words, does Moroccan medical certificate test for STIs, STDs? If yes, will having oral herpes disqualify me from marrying her? Any information on this would be highly appreciated because I am so stressed due to this.
  10. Hello! This might have been asked before - but just wanted to confirm! Is he able to drive here when he arrives in the US? Thank you!
  11. For different countries, I'm seeing people saying that they go online to pick appointments and others who say the embassies automatically send them appointments. Just wondering what the process is for the interviews in Casablanca.
  12. My job just announced they are letting a huge percentage of our company today. I am a newer hire and I am afraid I am on the list. This is horrible timing 😢. Will this affect the interview? It is in a week and half. Idk what to do and I am so scared because we have worked so hard to get this far.
  13. Hi everyone! My husbands interview is coming up in a few weeks. Any tips? We have all original docs in one folder, and a binder of copies. I also printed photos and have airline tickets from previous flights I've taken to Morocco. I just want to make sure I cover all bases. Can I attend the interview with him? I am so nervous! We go through so much just for this one day, it is hard not to panic lol. We have gone over a handful of questions and we know eachother very well so I am not worried about the questions - but I did hear that they make it tricky and can be intimidating If we get approved, I might have additional questions on what to expect at the airport in Casa and arrival at JFK because I have absolutely no idea what that looks like appreciate all of you!
  14. Hello! We submitted our paperwork to NVC on 4/18 and we just received approval from NVC yesterday - YAY!!! I am wondering when we will hear about interview date in Casablanca, Morocco? Does it take a few weeks for us to find out the date of interview? Will NVC notify us by email? If anyone knows how far out they are scheduling too, that will also be helpful. TIA!
  15. Good morning! I am a little confused on what to provide for my husbands interview in Casblanca (not yet scheduled, just trying to put things together now)! Can someone clarify what this means? If you are married: Your original marriage certificate, sworn English translation, and a photocopy. If you were previously married: Your original divorce or spouse’s death certificate, sworn English translation, and a photocopy. If you are older than 16 years of age: The original police certificate from your country of current residence and countries of previous residence. If these three items are all true, you must bring a more recent police certificate to the interview: You are older than 16 years; You obtained a police certificate and submitted it to NVC more than one year ago; and You still live in the country that issued the police certificate. I find the wording very confusing. I am the petitioner, I know my husband has to provide his police and court record with translations and copies, but I am not sure what this means for me. Is this something I provide? Any help would be appreciated!

  17. Hello, I was wondering if Direct Consular Filing is available in Morocco? I am a US citizen, newly wedded with my Moroccan husband residing in Casablanca, currently undergoing the process of obtaining carte sejour. I intend to live in Morocco with my husband until a green card is issued. How do I go about the process for filing a DCF? How do I go about filing petitions outside of the US? Thank you for your time, Salima
  18. Hello, I need help understanding the process of changing consulate locations for my fiancé's interview. I have only heard that they received the petition and it will likely be a few more months before it is accepted or denied. I filed an i-29f for a k1 visa in July 2021. My fiancé lives in Turkey as a student, and originally is from Morocco. I have been reading reviews and it seems like the Moroccan embassy denies a lot more than the Turkish one and has a lot more problems. Also, it would be more convenient since she is living in Turkey currently. Thanks so much for the help!
  19. My sister lives in Morocco married to a moroccan USA citizen-since 2017- she had interview 2020 ended up with refusing visa - her husband hired a lawyer who filed new application, she had interview on October 2021, she submitted everything they asked for- till now March 27 , the Casablanca Consulat still having her passport and all documents without any answer. please help
  20. My husband (in Morocco) and I (in the states) submitted all docs to NVC yesterday. In the beginning of the application process on the CEAC (Consular Electronic Application Center) stated "If your case is processing electronically, please scan and email your documents to NVCElectronic@state.gov". This confused me as we submitted the documents on the website. While researching the information, I found "only email documents if instructed. Submitting documents by email when not instructed to will delay the processing of your case." So now I am not sure what to do. I don't want to email if it is redundant and will delay our case. I am second-guessing this now. Should we email even if we submitted online? I can't find a single piece of information on this anywhere. Did anyone else do this? Help or guidance would be appreciated!! Ty!!
