Hi everyone, I am a GC holder in the US and my wife and son are in India waiting for our F2A IL since being DQ'd in Sept 2021. We had our second child in Nov' 22. Can someone please shed some light on whether I need to add the newborn to the existing application and submit DS-260 or is there any other alternative to it? Will adding him push the DQ date to the present date? Thanks

Hello, guys, The appointment was on January 23, they gave us a 221g because a birth certificate and an I-864 were missing. Documents sent two days later and was received at the consulate on January 30-31. On the 9th they say that it is in administrative process, from rejected to administrative process. Someone knows how long it could take approximately (I know that there are never exact times and everything depends) but for example the same consul who interviewed us said that once the documents were sent that the process can take 2-3 weeks. I don't know how real that is, but he said it.

Hi All, My Priority Date is 20-sep-20 and Category is F2A.My interview is done on16th April 23. Interviewer congratulated me and told me that Visa is approved and they hold my passport for visa and said it will be delivered to 3 to 4 weeks.. Till now today (24th May 23) Its status is Ready. As per this month Visa Bulletin Report. Final Action Date for F2A Category is 08-Sep-20. Is this the reason that my visa status is still not "Issued"?

Hi, group. I hope everyone is doing fine today. 18 years ago my dad (LPR back then) applied for my mom (beneficiary) and me (me as a derivative) with the form I-130 in 2003. USCIS sent us a notice of approval in 2005, but after that, my dad didn't follow up with NVC. I asked NVC for my case number and they replied. I checked the status and it says "At NVC". NVC sent a notice of 1 year in 2011 but still my dad didn't follow up for reasons beyond his control. Is it possible to continue with this case after 18 years? maybe with a lawyer? Or do I need to start over with USCIS and a new I-130? I am 27 years old (not married) and my dad is a USA citizen now (naturalized). USCIS still shows as "My case was approved" NVC shows: At NVC. I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance!

I am permanent residence and submitted my husband's I-130 last June when visa bulletin status was current. However, the visa bulletin for April, Final Action dates for family sponsored preference cases of F2A is changed from current to 08Sep20. What does this mean to us? We've been waiting for NOA2 but does this change gonna affect to NOA2? or since I submitted I 130 last June when status was current, is it ok?

Hi all, I am wondering if there is any way (other than USCIS processing time) of knowing real data of how long it is taking to process i130 esp at Vermont. The not knowing how long is killing me. I cant plan anything and I feel so stuck! it has been 412 since our post date and 254 since AR! It is so hard!

Hello, I am looking for advice regarding the following situation: I am an LPR who submitted an I-130 for my husband. Our petition got approved and the case was transferred to NVC. My husband has a child from his previous marriage, and somehow this child appeared under "Derivative applicants" list once we logged into CEAC. His son is not planning to move to the US with him, but it would be great to keep this option open, if it exists. I understand that we can change the derivative's status from "ACCOMPANY" to "FOLLOW TO JOIN", but the question is, do we need to 1) pay the $325 fee for him at this time and 2) submit all the civil documents? If we don't do it, will it delay my husband's case processing? Thank you!

Hi all, I sponsored my wife in HK for the immigration visa and timeline is as below. As you can see below, the visa class is changed to IR1 when I became a US citizen and I want to know it will help to speed up her interview date at the U.S. consulate in HK. Also, if anyone knows similar case with us, please share with information. USCIS receipt date for I-130: May 24, 2020 NVC receipt date: December 20, 2020 NVC documentarily complete date: April 08, 2021 Visa class changed from F21 to IR1: May 31, 2022 No interview date scheduled yet Much appreciated and good luck for other fellows waiting for immigration visas. Cheers!
