***CRIMINAL RECORD/NEED ADVICE*** My husband was arrested in Mexico City 10 years ago. I do not see any instructions for beneficiaries with a criminal record, only instruction for obtaining a certificate of no penales. But what if you have been arrested??? What documents does he need to have with him at the interview??? We were DQ'd by NVC in January 2023. By the looks of everyone else's wait time, he may get an interview in january 2024. Anyone's spouse have a criminal record??? What did they need to bring to the interview???? Thanks

Only want to hear from those with drug charges or their petitioners. My husband was charged with simple possession of marijuana 11 years ago. Our interview in Juarez, Mexico is next month for the IR1 Visa. Would like to know what we're facing. Denial? Denial with conditions? Anyone been approved? Tell me your story. Thanks

Hello, My wife is a dutch citizen and I am a US citizen. We are currently thinking about moving to the US. The issue is that when she was a juvenile she was charged with possession of weed. She was never actually arrested. A police officer suspected her of having some on her, did not find any, took her information and was told to report to a police station with a parent. This is while they were living in Germany. The officer at the station told her they dont really have any evidence so the charges would be dropped. The officer also said they never put anything into the system. She recieved a letter in the mail later that charges had been dropped for "Law of trafficing of controlled substances". I am not sure if the letter still exists. I have seen it and it is only one sentance saying that the charges were dropped and no details about the case at all. There is nothing on her police record and it is clean. She also never admitted guilt for this charge. I know we must report all interactions with police so I want to know our chances. I am wondering if it is still possible to get her a greencard or if this will make her inadmissable. I am also worried if they ask for court proceeding and whatnot like mentioned in other posts that I will not have any documents besides possible the letter mentioned above to provide because this was a very "off the radar" event.

Hi all I’m new here and I’ve had plenty to read so far but thought I’d go ahead and ask a question on here too for some clarity. I’ll be looking to apply for a k-1 visa in the near future and I’m trying to prepare myself as much as possible. I have 3 convictions from when I was 15/16 years old. 2 for assault and 1 for carrying an offensive weapon. I received 3 seperate cautions for these offences. I’ve had no criminal convictions since apart from some minor traffic violations around 5 years ago. considering these were juvenile offences and it’s been around 13–14 years since then, how likely are these to negatively affect my visa application? Do I still stand a good chance of approval? I’m currently waiting on my acro and sar to see what exactly shows up on my record as it’s been so long I can’t remember the specifics of exact dates etc.

Hi there, I am working on the I-129F application. For those who have petitioned or are petitioning a Peruvian fiancé, what are the names of the Peruvian institutions that can provide a police report or criminal record? Would you kindly share the name of the institution, the address, the cost of the document, and the turnaround time to get each document? Many thanks, S
