I had my N400 interview yesterday at the Dallas service center. The officer mentioned he did not have my removal of condition file but we proceeded with the N400. After successfully passing the N400, he handed me a form marked decision cannot be made now and explained it was because he had to approve the I-751 but he assured he was going to approve both. Both status are still the same, is it normal? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I figured there might be some people who are also in the process of putting their package together already ahead of the holidays. Hopefully it’ll be smooth sailing for all of us. Please share any timelines, thoughts, prayers… as we navigate this extremely joyous process. 😅 ————— Our 90 day window opens 01/19/2024 and plan is to have everything ready to go before this weekend, so we will only need to add latest bills/statements in January and print out some pictures pretty much. We are planning on mailing the whole thing out the very day the window opens. We'll be moving states at the end of February so I'm kinda anxious about receiving all the important letters from USCIS in those 6 weeks ahead of us leaving here. 🙃 Out of curiosity, is there anyone who’s travelled somewhat extensively in the last two years? How have you organised (or are planning on organising) evidence in relation to this - i. e. boarding passes, hotel resis, booking confirmations etc. pp. We have 17 trips we took together since getting married so really it is quite a lot. Still going back and forth on this as we’re not trying to overwhelm USCIS with potentially unnecessary information. Looking forward to getting this out of the way though honestly. It’s going to be a busy few months for us in between USCIS stuff, a last little on-island holiday, shipping all our belongings and cars, some extended hotel stays and a 15hr journey with a very hyper kitten.

Hi all, I filed my i-751 a year ago and I'm preparing to apply for citizenship. We just found out that my attorney made a mistake on my I-751 form and had me as unemployed despite me being employed. Did anyone have a similar situation and how did you fix it ?

@Mike E mentioned that it's best to use the Employer address on the W-2. I'm also a remote worker and my working location is my home address. On the W-2, my company uses a PO box, but on the Form 1095-C, they use the street address of my company. Can I use the street address instead?

Hi, I am eligible to file for citizenship under the 3 year rule with a pending 1-751 (since August 2022) and I wanted to check with others if my evidence list would be sufficient or if there would be anything else I should include in N400 application. I have recently filed 1040X with IRS to amend my status on the past 2 tax returns and I scanned a copy of the signed 1040X’s so I can include that in the evidence also. I was advised it could potentially take up to 20 weeks for IRS to complete amendments, so I was hoping I can send the proof of amendment in my application. Current list of evidence: -Marriage certificate -Copy of front and back of green card -Husband’s birth certificate -2022 tax transcript -Tax returns and 1040X amended forms for both 2021 and 2020 -Lease agreements for past 3 years -Renters insurance -Health insurance (for me and my husband through employer) -PDF document comprised of photos of us over the past 3 years, including with friends and family (with dates and locations) I have bank statements, internet bills, phone bills and utility statements that I can send if extra evidence is recommended, although I have them printed so I can bring them to the interview. Lastly, I worked remotely for most of the past 3 years and I was confused on the application question that requires the location we worked at for each employer. From my understanding, would it be best to include the employer address listed on my W2’s and specify in my job role that I was a remote worker?

Hi everyone, I have a pending i751 application and I'm planning to go on a trip to South Korea in few months. Did anyone travel to South Korea with an expired green card and the extension letter ? Are they familiar with it ? Did anyone have any issues ?

Thought this would be an interesting datapoint. I was just listening to Jim Hacking's Immigration Show on YouTube. Somebody reported getting a 10 year GC AFTER naturalizing and having naturalization certificate in hand. Episode 357. All because of pending I-751 at the moment of N-400 interview. Lawyer suggested keeping the card in safe place just in case. What would you do in this case?

Hello All I have a question when filing out the form I-751 in page 2, additional information about you item 20. I have been deported and waived. is this something that will count as deteined? I am not sure if I should say YES or not here. I was deported and I had to process waiver which were approved. I was never in Jail or anything but I am not sure if this counts like any of the specified in the question? any suggestions will be very appreacited.

Hello Fellow Journey Folks, I just wanted to start a new thread on Pending I-751 Transferred to NBC After Passing N-400 Interview, so other people in the same situation can find this resource specific to a "pending I-751 but was interviewed for N-400 and passed the N-400 interview", and issued a Form-N-652 with check marks on: a.) "you passed the English test and the US history and government test...." b.) "congratulations, your application has been recommended for approval..." Please share your experience about: 1. Were you required to appear again for an interview at your local USCIS office to adjudicate the ROC? 2. How long did it take for NBC to come back to you from the time of notice that your I-751 was transferred to NBC? 3. If NBC waived an ROC interview, how long did it take them to return to you for the pending I-751 approval? 4. If NBC waived an ROC interview, how long did it take them to send you an oath taking ceremony? Hello, I need to travel abroad while the removal of conditions on my conditional green card is pending (through marriage). Is traveling with my expired green card + Extension letter enough or do I have to get the i551 stamp ? Thanks for your help

It needs to be sent by 6th September but I want to get it sent asap, this week if possible. Hello, im in the process of completing the application for removal of conditions. I, the immigrant spouse, submitted the ar11 form online to change my address when i moved at the end of 2021 but never received mail regarding this change- only a confirmation email. Had no idea that my wife, the US citizen had to update her address as well (stupid mistake i know), as she was a secondary joint sponsor, my sister in law was a joint sponsor also but her address has remained the same. Ill be sending the removal of conditions package next month but before that, i thought i should mail in the ar11 for myself (just to be safe) and the i865 form to ensure my wife address is current and up to date in the uscis system, even though its late. Is this a necessary step? Also, in the i865 form it asks "Effective Date of Change of Address". Should i back date it to the date my wife and i moved to our new address, which was 10/12/2021, or should i date it with todays date? Anyone had any issues with their ROC being rejected because of not updating the address for the US citizen? Would be such a shame for have it rejected for a such a simple oversight on my part. thanks for reading O

Hi! I'm way ahead for ROC at the moment, I'm not due until October or so next year but I'd like to get ahead. I've already begun collecting some documents but at this moment would like some samples of what people have sent for their ROC as samples of showing co-mingling in their lives. This is what I have/will have collected for the package so far. -Joint bank accounts ✅ -Joint tax filing ✅ -Joint car insurance ✅ - Health insurance (not sure how to show this, but we're military so my coverage is under his name as sponsor) ✅ - Photos showing time spent together with family/together ✅ - Flight tickets together (Haven't flown a lot but at least 1 so far) ✅ - Joint bills with our names on them (water, electric, gas) ✅ - Possibly join credit cards (I am listed as the 2ndary user of ones he owns- don't have one of my own as of yet)✅ I've seen people mentioned affidavits may be included but is it required? I feel as though the proof above seems sufficient but if we were to need affidavits who would be best to obtain them from? Family members, friends, coworkers? Is there anything else anyone would recommend to add to the list? Not sure if applicable but I'm currently not working, so no paystubs or anything of my own. When/if I do find a job, would any kind of employment proof be necessary? I know it is more of a focus to show that the marriage is continuous and maintained and co-mingling, so I wasn't sure if my employment status mattered here. No children, we do have a pet though - and both our names are on the adoption paperwork. Thanks in advance! Also, do ROCs get their interview waivered if they had one for their conditional GC? I remember by IO telling me it may/may not be waived.

Hey there, My husband (USC) and me (CPR) are planning a 2 week trip to visit family in Germany. From reading previous forum posts, I'm 90% sure that I will be able to travel abroad and come back to the US just fine with only an I-551 passport stamp, but I was hoping someone could give me a piece of mind. 🙄 Backstory: I came here on a K-1 visa; we got married; filed for AOS; received green card. Turns out that our green card had a 10 year validity date, although we were married for less than 2 years at the time we filed for AOS. We sent the green card back to USCIS in June 2021 (filed a free I-90, indicating USCIS error), and since then I don't have a physical green card. We will be filing for ROC this summer and want to go to Germany after we filed. We are planning to travel in September (and be back before October, when my green card would expire - had I received a 2 year green card..). I made an info pass appointment at the local USCIS office back in October 2021, and got an I-551 passport stamp, evidencing permanent residency for 1 year. My understanding is that while my I-90 case is pending, the I-551 stamp in my passport is sufficient to travel internationally and return to the US (as long as I return before October 2022, when the stamp expires and coincidentally also my green card should expire if we get the replacement card in the meantime). Could someone please confirm if this is correct, or if I need any additional documents besides the I-551 stamp + passport to board an airplane and be let back into the US? Do I maybe even need a new I-551 stamp after we filed for ROC, since that happens before we travel? I.e. does filing for ROC change the status of the I-551 passport stamp in any case?
