Our Ir5 visa petition is approved and we are waiting for interview date at Islamabad consulate. We have a son aged 16 years. How will he immigrate with us? There was no option under NVC application portal to add his name as family member for immigrant visa application. Please guide. Thanks!

When filling out form to recive deposit slip and make interview Appointment at the amman jorden consolate, my fiancée encountered an error where he was asked for the receipt from his payment for the visa prior to receiving the deposit slip on the payment page. You must recive slip to make payment and only then do you recive this number. The website asked for his iv case number, he tried to put in our original receipt number and the new case number from the nvc (per our lawyers advice) with the following response "no valid record could be found for the entered receipt number. Please validate that your receipt number is correct and that you have paid the correct amount for which you are applying for." From what we understand it's asking for the receipt number you get after you pay. We filled out form countless times and never got the page to recive the deposit slip to make the payment so we could recive the iv case number. It always goes straight to the iv case number skipping the payment page. We have been attempting to contact the Jordan embassy with no luck. Does anyone have any advice? As my wife is a Taiwanese citizen, and I am an American citizen, can we first move to USA together, her with a visitor visa, and file an I-485 adjust status, along with all the other Immigrant visa paperwork and documents, for her to get her immigrant visa, all the while living in the USA? I saw a posting online, stating one's spouse could already be living with them in the USA (not sure about what visa), and file the I-130 and I-485 at the same time, for the path to getting the green card. To give a little background about the details of our case, we already had an immigrant visa issued to my wife a few years back and were unable to use it when it was valid. We re-started the process last year, sending in her passport with the IV to the U.S. Embassy and they reopened our case. Would we need to refile the I-130 in America to do the above? Or is it too late to do this option as we've already started our case and the Embassy here in Taiwan knows all about it? Hope to get any helpful comments. Thanks!

Hi all, Had my FB4 immigrant visa interview at montreal on Jan 10, 2023. I was approved on the spot in 2 minutes and was told that my passport should return in 2 weeks. On CEAC it shows "refused" the day of the interview.. I understand that it's probably administrative processing. I was never given a 221g or a refusal only a "I intend to approve". Our passports are still at the consulate. Is anyone in a familiar situation?

The title says it. For the Civil documents submission, if I have to mail them, as is the case for EB applicants, do I need to submit the original police certificate or a copy will suffice, and I get to keep the original one to present during the interview? Would appreciate someone's comment who has gone through this!
