  1. Just a concern. It can be lost or misplaced can’t it?
  2. Since it’s pass 60 days, shouldn’t they send us an email at least, just like they say they would?
  3. Does anyone know the number we can call about the status? “The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview.” We haven’t received anything yet, June 4th marked the 60 days mark.
  4. Nevermind, I got it to work now. I have to reupload in the rejected section, not additional section and all rejected must be replaced before the button to work.
  5. Hello Visajourney fam, Today I received rejected -864 because I didn't sign it by hand. I have printed and signed by hand and reuploaded the requested document but the "Submit Document" button does nothing when I click it. I have tried Chrome as well as MS Edge, both doesn't do anything. Does it automatic goes for review or there's something wrong with the website or my computer?
  6. We hired someone to do our paperwork for my wife to sponsor her brother (over 21 and married) but her brother's birth certificate was registered late (couple years), and he could not start the paperwork without additional supporting documents. Is this true? Everyone in her household were registered late, some were a few months including my wife. Everyone's BC was fine even though they were registered late. Everyone's paperwork went through but the brother, who is having trouble starting the process. Could anyone guide me to the right direction on where to begin?
  7. If we were to add in the police certificate later (within 45 days) and the paperwork is still moving, do we still get the RFE (assuming we can still add it in)? We only get RFE when it's our turn and we don't have the paperwork right, and that's more than 45 days (I think 3-6 months)?
  8. Hi, We are trying to complete a DS260 to submit but do not have the Police certificate ready. We want to get the paperwork moving. Can we mark it as not available to get the paperwork moving and then add that back in when it's available (within 45 days from now)? Thank you
  9. For my MIL, we waited for a long time and decided to stop by the SSA office. Is there a waiting period or do we just go there ASAP when we receive the green card for my FIL?
  10. Thank you. That would explain it. I was just worried they had missed a step at the airport.
  11. For sure. Mine are required by appointment only still. Even when I went there, that office is completely empty. But I didn't have to do that for my wife. She received everything without us doing anything. When I went to the SSN office, they checked and nothing filed with homeland security at all, even though I checked the SSN box in the DS 160 application.
  12. Hi everyone, I remember when my wife came to the US, she had to go through immigration where they opened the "Do not open" envelope that was issued. When her mom came over, they did not open that envelope and she did get her green card, but the SSN was delayed by National Security for quite a few months. We had to go to the local SSN office to file for the SSN, even then, it took nearly 3 months. Now her dad came and again, they did not take a look at the do not open envelope. I feel like they missed something since I wasn't there with them like I was with my wife to guide them where to go. It could be the new process, it could be they missed something. Id appreciate any help to make sure her dad gets the SSN in a timely manner. Thank you
  13. Yes she did. We went to a local SSN office and reapplied but that still took a couple months. They said the homeland security needs to release the hold for unknown reason. If you never went to your local SSN office, they will tell you to reapply like they did for me. I had to call them every week. It’s not an easy task to call someone there and talk to a real person.

    Visa Refusal

I’m sorry, I meant IR-5. Not sure why I typed CR-1. Do know know what to do here? What makes it worse is that they can’t even travel fully yet due to Covid
