Hello everyone! I am new to this website! I noticed on the USCIS webpage that they don't accurately update the current processing dates. sad.gif I am getting frustrated!

I married my wonderful husband Jaser in Irbid Jordan on July 2, 2006. I moved to Jordan early October 2006 and stayed until May 2007. It was a wonderful experience to live in his country and understand his culture. It made us so much closer. I moved back to the states in May to start the VISA process. It's been 7 months since I hugged my husband crying.gif I miss him so much. Thank God we chat daily and it helps that I sent him a laptop. The time difference makes communication difficult!!

I filed my I130 on June 2nd and then my I129F on July 28th. (both received dates) My question is: IS THERE ANY WAY TO KNOW HOW CLOSE I AM TO GETTING THE APPROVAL? I attached my Jordanian ID with my passport as proof of the relationship. You can only get the ID if you stay in Jordan over 3 months. Will this help proving my marriage is legitimate?

I know from the USCIS website that they have received twice as many applications from June-August of this year and it is slowing the process.

Any help getting the info will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Rhonda heart.gif Jaser

Insha'allah you're getting close to an NOA #2 -- a 6 months wait at the service centers is not unusual.

As far as your Jordanian ID being proof of your marriage -- well, every little piece of evidence helps. But even more important are photos of you together and with his family, copies of your phone logs and chat conversations, cards & letters, etc. -- to show the ongoing relationship.

We have a lot of members who have processed through Amman -- you will find plenty of advice and support here. Welcome to VJ and our MENA corner !

Welcome to VJ. There really isn't any set timeline for any certain person. Nobody knows when their number will come. It is definitely a tough wait.
Good luck in your journey.

Hey, I'm back. So like Amal said, it's a waiting game. You can ask around or look at timelines and see how long it took people to do things... I don't have a timeline because I can't get into mine and i PMed Ewok but no response. I went through Amman at the slow persiod, so it took about a year and 4 months or so... I think now it's about a year or 8 months by other people's experiences. It really just depends on what you file for. You can email the embassy in Amman and they will get back to you.. eventually.. and sometimes with a completely nonsensical answer-- you just have to keep trying.

As far as proof, WOM was right on-- you need to collect your chats, phone records, photos, letters, cards, receipts, rental agreements, etc... Those are all counted as proof. Some people who are anal about this like me make a giant binder with tabs, etc. Good luck smile.gif

Hello and welcome to VJ. I had my wedding party in Irbid in July 2006. I came back to the USA and started my process. You can see in my signiture the time that it took for us. Times will be tough waiting but worth the wait. I hope that you will find this site very useful as I really did. I was guided every step of the way and seemed to have a smooth process. I pray that you will also have a smooth process and God speed.

Did you sign up online for updates?

Once again welcome!

Welcome to VJ and good luck with your 'journey'.
remember, patience is a virtue (as my grandma always said) and one you will probably learn whether you want to or not tongue.gif
but at least here you have found some others who can totally understand and share your waiting....

Yep, Amman does.. I think you have to be a citizen and live there for 2 years though.

Anyway, WELCOME, I wish your process to be as short as possible and that you are reuntied with your love soon.
