I was reading through the threads and i came upon a packet3 thread where the person was unsure what to send back to the consulate. So just for clarification purposes, Please correct me if i am wrong.. P.S. im very anal when it comes to forms lol.

TO SEND BACK:

BOTH completed AND signed copies of the ds-156
and the Part 1 of the ds-230

is that correct? or do i just send ONE copy of the ds-156 and keep the other one for myself to bring to the interview.

TO FILL OUT:
and just to fill out the ds-156k (do not sign)

Is there anything else they need to be sent back to them before they send you packet 4?? What do i do with the ds-157?

Which consulate are you going through?

For the Vancouver consulate, all that was required was the checklist from Packet 3 and DS-230, part one. All the other forms (DS-156, DS-156K, etc) were taken to the consulate interview.

For Montreal...

Mail the:
checklist
DS 230
DS 156

That is all, although I also mailed the DS 156K unsigned....and a cover letter.

i suppose i should have said i was going to the vancouver one. I already have all my paper work done lol.. i wish the consulate would work on my time instead of theirs
