Hello, I am just ready to start petition filings for my new wife in the philippines. For the two visas that I have to file for her and her daughter, which AOS fee do you pay at a later date? With all the new price increases I am looking for as much time as possible to get the money together since I am not a rich man and live from paycheck to paycheck.

I am thinking the K-3 is the way I should be probably going. At least that is what the guide explains. But it's a little vauge. Can someone help me out here?
thanks,

The K3 will be a little faster but ultimately more expensive but about $800 for each applicant adjusting status. Young children get a break on status adjustment.

For CR1, the "AOS" fee is the Affidavit of Support fee and is paid after petition approval but before the visa is issued.

For K3, the "AOS" refers to adjusting status. That fee is after US entry and is $1010 for an adult.

Thank you. I want to go CR-1 then. I just saw of the timelines that people mentioned generating AOS fees for a I-130 that I believe were for CR-1 which were like examples below.

12/04/2007: AOS Fee Bill and Payment Mailed to
00/00/2007: AOS Fee Bill and Payment Received

aos bill and ds 3032 generated 11/19/2007
paid aos bill e-mailed choice of agent 11/20/2007

Yes, that's the affidavit of support fee.
