Hello All:

I got a message from USCIS that my father's I-130 application was approved!!! kicking.gif We are both surprised that his application has been approved already. I sent in the application early July and got the NOA1 on my birthday (July 21st). Now to know it's been approved. It's taken 6 months -- now on to NVC!!!

Congratulations! You can use James' shortcut in the NVC process. Have your father open an email account (yahoo, hotmail, etc) to take care of his choice of agent.

Thanks for the info. He has yahoo and hotmail email addresses, so I will follow James' shortcuts for NVC. I didn't find this site until later down in the process for my hubby, so I am sure I will be able to save some time with my dad's petition. good.gif

It's like I forgot this thread. thanks all...Jengles, it took 5 months from when I filed to approval.
