Hello everyone...

I have a question about #11 on the affidavit of support.

It states, I intend or I do not intend to make specific contibutions to the support of the person named in item 3.

I have no idea what to check. Can anyone help me with this? My fiance will have a lot of money saved by the time he gets here, so in a since I will not be contributing...but then again, I'm sure I wll be contributing in some way, especially after we marry. Just not sure how to take this queston, or what to check.

Thanks

Steph

I'm not too familiar with the I-134, since I've never needed to fill one out for my parents but if are planning on having DF stay with you it might be a good idea to check yes but it sounds like you might be able to check NO. I think they are looking for a specific amount and since DF has enough money saved up I'd go with NO. Hopefully some Samaritan (or possibly Len laughing.gif ) will help you a bit more.

Not familiar with the I-134 either, but my gut tells me you will anyways be accountable for providing for your fiance. Her savings as far as I can tell do not count unless they are in both your names. BEsides, as the petitioner/sponsor you are financially responsible for her anyways.
Peace, L.
