Can someone help me out,
I'm filing the Affidavit of Support, and i realize to get a co-signer, i need my co-signer to fill one out also. my question is:
question 3 i put my fiancé's name, but for my co-signer do they put my name, or her name also?? (or both) and also is it possible to have more than one co-signer? Could someone also please tell me what the requirements are at the moment for the income, i believe it's 125% of the federal poverty limit, but if someone knows the exact # that'd be great!! thank you all so much!!!

your fiancee's name only on question 3 on the Affidavit of Support. federal proverty guidelines can be viewed at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1327.html

..they will only accept one co-sponser.

thank you so much, also one more question, does the co-signer have to be one of my relatives or can it be anyone?

Technically the sponsor can be any person who qualifies as described in the instructions, however it is best if there is a close relationship. A lifelong friend is better than an aged grandfather but a sibling or not too elderly parent is best. Consular officers need to believe the sponsor can and will fullfill the obligations if needed. It's hard to count on old folks being around or strangers following through.

so would you think a person that accepted my fiancé as a foreign exchange student would qualify as close? i believe soo

Got lost here.. Are you saying your sponsor is a foreign exchange student or that your fiance is a foreign exchange student? If your sponsor is a foreign exchange student, it would be probably hard to convince the Embassy that you are close. Close family is best for co-sponsors, then distant family members then friends...
