Happy Saturday Dawn!

I was supposed to have done all of my holiday shopping last night but events being what they were that certainly did not happen so today will be the dreaded day. I want to get most of it done online but at the same time I hate having all of the boxes that come with doing that. My town doesn't let us throw boxes in with the normal trash but makes us cut them up into 4 x 4 peices and so my garage is full of boxes waiting to be cut up.

Still looking for a treadmill. I found one on ebay that is in the next town over from me for only $100 but it has two days left on it so we'll see if it stays that price. Looks nice and folds up pretty good.

It's just a nasty day today. Cold, raining and the temp is supposed to drop so all these rain will freeze. Yuck! My daughter is in a Christmas program at my parents church tomorrow and she has practice from 10-?. I have to run by the clinic and finish a few things, then I'm coming home to bake a bunch of things I don't need in the house.

My ex boss is using some scare tactics now which isn't working at all. Makes my friend and I chuckle. We decided yesterday that if he tries to go legal (which there isn't a thing he can even sue us for) we will fight fire with fire. I worked for him 11 years and my friend 8 years. We know WAY TO MUCH about him for him to try to sue. We were talking last night and basically we could call every insurance company and get him in serious doo doo. Plus nothing in his office is OHSA compliant. He really doesn't want to mess with us.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JACKIE!. 4 years down...wow!!!

I'm here with some very nasty stomach virus that has left me weak to the point it almost hurts to even talk. I look like death warmed over and, quite frankly, feel like it too. Problem is that I didn't get the license number of that mac truck that ran over me so I can't turn them in. If I could just throw-up, I'd feel so much better.

Hello to all. It has been a beautiful day here in the North Ga Mountains. Turned the heat off, opened the windows and out on shorts. Been busy doing house stuff. Now getting ready to take hubby to practice driving. He has his test on Tuesday. Then home again to decorate a Chrsitmas tree! Hope everyone is having a great day.

My day is just peachy. Killing time at my desk, then going home to get all cute for tonights party.

Aww bless your heart. Hopefully its just one of those 24-hour things and will go away very, very soon. Have you been to the doctor yet? Ask him/her to call in a scrip for Phenergan (Promethazine) gel. It has to be filled at a compounding pharmacy, and its a little more expensive than pills or suppositories, but its sooooo worth it. They mix the drug into a non-toxic gel that you smooth on your skin (Ive found it works well right after a bath and mixed with a dab of your favorite body lotion). You absorb it directly through your skin, so you dont have to worry about barfing back up a bitter pill or shooting a suppository out your bum. It calms your tummy, makes you sleep off the sickies and often gives you enough of a chance to fold down some water or fruit juice (which you desperately need).

Yours truly is having a serious craving for yarn. I neeeeeed to go to Joann so badly. But I promised my friend's daughter Id give her some one-on-one help with her knitting and I wanted to take her to the store with me. So Im trying to keep my butt in this chair instead of jumping in the car and going on a craft-store spree. Ohhhh how I love the yarn section of the store. Row upon row of fat fluffy bundles of color. I especially like sticking my index finger in the super-soft blobs

But it's the gift that keeps on giving.

Not sure what to say. Working on papers here at the lab. WB Doodle/Bridget and Happy Birthday Sara and Happy VJ Anniversary Jackie. Please excuse my mood as I am a little stressed with finals. I finished editing my short documentary yesterday and now just need to add music. Surprisingly I am proud of it and would love to add it to my YouTube account but would have to get permission first from the ladies in it. Unsure what to do about that. Hmmm... Ok TTYL!

I hit my 3rd VJ anniversary a few days ago (also the anniversary of our K1 interview - which just didnt go well )

Lots of anniversaries to celebrate. I looked at my join date and Ill be a mommy by the time my next anni rolls around. We can celebrate as a real family, too Who'd a thought we'd ever get to this point when we joined, eh?

My husband and I are being geeks! We've been sitting outside drinking hot chocolate and watching all the idiots try to drive on the ice. It's very amusing. We watched our neighbor across the street slide out of his driveway right into his mailbox....then he got out of his car and started cussin the mailbox like it was the mailbox fault!

Today we went to a Chanukkah party at a family friends house. Poor Abdou suffered while 20 older ladies chattered all afternoon around him. He kept whispering, begging me to leave. I appreciated him coming with me anyway!

Then we went to drive around and look at all the Christmas lights in our area. A lot of people go ALL OUT on decorations. I should have taken some pics and posted them here. Maybe I'll go to a few of the streets with the best ones and post them here.
Then we had dinner at a Persian restaurant with my brother and ate yummy borani, kebabs, and saffron-rosewater ice cream. yum!!!
Now its time to watch the UFC finale! Readyyyyyyyyyyy? FIGHT!
