my port of entry is san francisco. anyone who can share their experience? what do i expect?

with my previous travel to US, the immgration officer told me that i should line up at the USC line since my 2yr old baby is a USC. this time with a CR-1 visa, where do i line up?

Do just what he asked. I like S.F. because it is a more modern airport and there is lots to do there while you wait for your loved ones. As for you, your family will be able to watch you snake your way through immigration before, during and after you pick up your luggage. There isn't much traffic over there either, so you won't feel like you are in a village market once you arrive.
You might even find several people who are of Filipino decent who can help you with the baby.

thanks chispas for the advice!

goodluck to you!

Congrats on your approval good.gif I don't remember the particulars, but my wife encountered no problems with her POE at SFO. someone will probably direct you which line to go to if your not sure.
your family will not be able to see you go through Immigration, but they will be able to see you on the monitors in the arrival waiting area as you are walking thru the corridor to the arrival waiting area.
have a safe flight good.gif

Rob and I left Manila May 2, 2007 at 5pm and arrived here at SFO May 2, 2007 at 6:58pm.

POE: SFO. There's a line for "NEW IMMIGRANTS" and a line for "USC". My husband and I both went to the USC line then they told me to go to the "NEW IMMIGRANTS" line. After my husband was done with his line he accompanied me to the "NEW IMMIGRANTS" line. The lady at the Immgration is a very nice Filipina (Bisaya) and it only took about 5 minutes. She took my Visa Envelop. She took out a Form, asked me to signed it took my fingerprint (Right index finger). She gave me a form to read at home (for CR-1). She also told me that my visa with her stamp is my temporary GC until my GC arrives. She told me I can go and apply for my SSN and driver's license. She gave me a warm Welcome to the US. Very nice lady indeed. She did not take my CXR plates, and she told me to just keep it.

Good Luck!
