After going through with the DNA test for my son, and getting his CRBA (birth certificate) and passport, we recieved the green slip stating "Your case requires additional processing in our office. You do not need to submit further documents. We will contact you when we have finished processing your case". The consular officer told me not to worry since we have a son between us and that just maybe today was a very busy day and they couldn't process all the cases including ours. The officer also said to enjoy my stay in Vietnam and that they could call us as soon as tommorrow or in a few weeks and .
I dont know what to make of this. Is this "requires additional processing in our office" the same as administrative review or administrative processing that could last up to who knows when ? If yes, then I need to think of something.
