well the trip isn't a definite. it was something thrown out there and asked if i would even consider going. i'm at the point where i want to just say YES! it would be to fly to moscow, travel around russia, then take the trans siberian railroad through either siberia or mongolia, and end up in beijing. *sigh*

me too!!!! honestly though, there's a lot of "trip of a lifetime" kinds of places in my eyes. i met a girl from my last job who was quitting and leaving for new zealand, traveling up to indonesia, through thailand, etc...then flying over to africa and traveling all around the east coast of africa and coming home 6 months later.
i have to say i was pretty jealous of that one too! there was no way i could leave my husband for 6 months. HAHA!

I don't know why but New Zealand doesn't really do it for me. An old boss of mine went and she wasn't too impressed. To travel for THAT long it would have to totally knock my socks off.

When would you go? Hopefully not winter I almost took a job in Mongolia, but decided against it. I just didn't have the time after Jordan (my first visit). Good thing I chose Jordan

Hello MENA....hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday....its almost the weekend!!!!!!

Just think of how quiet it is when she's out there-- and she's probably getting a great look at stuff. Sigh.

Finals are next week so I'll be finishing editing my last video for the semester and studying all weekend and into next week and then school closes and we're on holiday break. I plan to keep my broken foot up on a pillow for the four week break while sipping tea and reading books.

OMG this has been a train wreck though getting this damn carpet installed. Last time it was done over one weekend. These guys have been here 3 weeks so far. They started out working during the day as we worked and then finally the powers that be changed that. I even started to break out in a rash on the back of my neck because of all the crap that came up with the old carpet....ewwwww So we have been smelling the smell of new carpet for far too long.

I avoid classes with oral presentations like the plague. I only have one speech class left to get my associates degree...just can't seem to do it. Someone suggested doing it in the summer as the quarter is shorter and I can get it over with in 6 weeks instead of 12. Might try that...

Well I am so glad that it is Friday and look forward to the weekend so that I can move in my new couch and loveseat. Looking forward to the change.

I work for a company that builds data storage systems that's based out of Southern England. I'm on a software implementation team to implement and teach SAP for all the US sites of our company. The UK and the US are being implemented at the same time, so that's why I'm over here. I get to come here at least once a year. It's cold here but not as cold as I was expecting.

I took all the cusions out of mine about a month ago and OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found the following:

*a freaking hand mirror!!!
*4 pencils
*$13.86 in change!!!
*2 scrunchies
*fried rice
*a test with a 72 grade
*my electric bill

Crust:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup confectioners' sugar, plus more for dusting
Pinch salt
2 sticks butter, at room temperature, plus more for greasing
Filling:
4 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 by 13 by 2-inch pan.
Make the crust by combining the flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in the butter to make a crumbly mixture. Press the mixture into the prepared pan. You may need to dip your fingers into a little flour or confectioners' sugar to keep the dough from sticking to your fingers. Bake for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, to make the filling, mix the eggs, granulated sugar, flour, and lemon juice. Pour this over the baked crust and bake for 25 minutes longer. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired, when the bars are done.
