Hello all.

I've been watching this forum for a long while now. I've felt the rollercoaster of joys and depressions as I read about other's approvals and horrible waiting.

I've "only" been waiting a couple of months, but the empty and arbitrary waiting while separated from my love seems beyond cruel. I can only imagine how people like OsLoraTamm feel waiting so long... truly my heart goes out to you.

I find that my crazy addiction - even more than pointlessly checking the USCIS website - is checking this thread. Seeing other people get approvals gives me hope. I used to love to see my name climb the numbered list of who is pending, but we haven't had those in a while. To that end, I thought I'd try to generate my version of the current list. No promises that I didn't miss something on my first time.

p.s. Did i mention that waiting sucks?

Thanks for the list ............It reaffirms my belief that they just forgot the first week of June......I hope many approvals after the new year......Believe me I wish this wait on no one but Jan. 2 will be 210 or 7 months of waiting.......sucks but I can just wait now an hope..........Lora

Thanks for all the best wishes. I too have been wondering how we got approved quicker than others. Sometimes its just down to pure luck i guess, but you wont find me complaining. To me personally its been a great end to an amazing year personally..

I understand many filers from may, june, july and august have not been approved and i wish this same joy we are experiencing for each and every one of you. I personally believe that maybe we got our approval in a timely manner because im 26, my fiancee is 19.. never been married before and plus ive been through many, many, many extensive FBI background checks because of the job i hold. I really think that came in to our favor because the records were there waiting to be looked at. However, at the end of the day it's good to move on.

WOW!! First, Congratulations to the both of you!! Thanks so much for providing us with a sneak peak as what good things are to come!! :-)

Well I appreciated the list...we were feeling that we were the only ones left from May (Brady and Hannah)...not that I wish anyone was still waiting from May or June because that is just not right by any regards. As to why some are taking forever...this is a first marriage for both and filed by a lawyer with no RFE's and we are still waiting and we got the congressman involved and still nothing...neither person has any police records nor any thing that would be a red flag....
SO........to me it is anyones guess as to why this is happening....the bad part is we have NO WAY to really talk to anyone that can effect the processing of the application....to me that is the cruel part of the whole system.

Note:
One the time line below....our application was moved to VSC in October...seems that they (USCIS) sent it to the wrong service center in May and when it went to and adjudicator they then moved it to VSC where it has sat untouched.

Thanks for the list! They have been sorely missed since bszoom left us! I'm sorry that you are having to wait so long - it really makes no sense! I truly hope that you and all the others waiting so long will be approved soon. Its crazy to me that even with congessional inquiries that so many are still not approved.

And FYI - 1 vikia & james 04-07-2007 - Their petition was actually denied ages ago - dogluck just never updated their timeline.

I keep thinking that they should approve people by default after 90 days. If they haven't had time or haven't found anything wrong, then just approve the applications. If there are any subsequent problems, then they can pick up on that at the AOS and all that. I'm just sick of waiting

I am firmly of the belief that it is pure luck whose crate is pulled and whose case worker is vacationing and whose is new and whose just flat out died at the desk and no one noticed....that random.......making it that much more frustrating for all of us........The system is bad and my New Years Resolution is to try to do something about it in Washington......after I marry te love of my life....of course.......If all else fails I am moving to Peru........

Yeah, I'm at work again! My own fault for not saving vacation days though! Good news for me is that we quit at 2:00 PM today! Wooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!

We got approved!!!! After 157 days

Today of all days! I can't stop crying and neither can Colleen. It is such a release to finally get it!

I got the message from Colleen saying we got approved and to call her, so I did! And I was speechless and crying, and I went to cry with my parents.

I'm so happy! I don't understand it It's unbelievable. Finally!!! It's funny because we were both stressing so much about it and having dreams about it last night, that we discussed earlier today

In all the happiness I still feel sad for those that still haven't heard their good news. I wish you all the best, and you're in my thoughts.

Thank you! We got a couple of touches a while back, but I don't think we got anything in connection with the approval. Colleen checked this morning and there weren't any touches since November 15th, which were due to a misspelling of my last name (the Danish ø should be oe and not just o).

My wishes for everyone on here is a quick and speedy process. While Peter and I are both so happy right now, we are also keeping all of you close in our thoughts knowing the frustration we felt, I cannot begin to imagine the frustration that filiers prior to us are feeling. If our happiness and hopes could make approvals happen, each of you would have yours as well right now.
We are all on the sidelines cheering for each other right now, we know the system itself is broke, and hopefully we can all find ways to send information to the USCIS to improve it, and they will listen to it.
