Probably the person in charged of my application is on vacation. I can't believe they waited 6 months to give me a RFE. I can't believe Lora waited almost 7 months and they gave her a RFE!!!!!!

I agree with you Mirla.........Majorly F***ing sucks..........Officer Frank told me hardly anyone was at work....It took them 37 minutes to answer the phone today so I think only the new people with no time off are working.......ie.....approving September............



well that may be true but I never called them once until I was at 6 months......then I started to call......so if they are upset at that then when everyone else starts to be at 6 or 7 months then it will be interesting....anyway Mel and Syl never called and they waited the longest

Sounds about right. It's really absurd that we're seeing September filers approved left and right with so many june and july files left to rot.

I started calling when I was 4 or 5 months but like once a month or twice. Then after I sent my RFE I was calling once a week cause the status was not updated until I resend my RFE so there's no relation beetwen your case and your phone calls.

well think of this....If everyone around you in the end of July is approved and by late January or even February you have not....what will you do?????

I didn't call at ALL until a week before six months, and then they said don't call back until 2 weeks after six months. Then two weeks again. I'm not calling again. They're useless and don't know anything.

Even though we haven't been calling all the time, they still played with our emotions until they approved us so if anyone feels like calling they should go ahead and call. What is the customer service line there for anyways??? Lora, Milra Ric and the rest i am still praying for you guys please keep the faith. I know its hard and its probably not what you guys want to hear but as all of you know i have been there so keep the faith your approvals are on their ways. Lora im sure that RFE is something you can submit really fast and befor you know you will be approved. My heart goes out to you guys.

I didn't call either until 6.5 months. But when I did 'customer service' actually tried to put in a service inquiry for me because I was outside service commitment. But her computer wouldn't let her and she needed to transfer me to vsc.
That's when I got the idiot "we're approving may 19" lady. But I called vsc directly using rfe trick the next day and a sane person admitted they were into july, etc, but I had to wait the 30 days beyond 6 months (because mail from them might be on it's way - yeah right 30 days).
So try it, but try again if you get the office imbecile who thinks they are still only up to may.

Well he did tell me that there was hardly anyone there....they are all on leave......so I guess it really does not matter until after Jan.2 to get and send back an RFE.....which will be 7 months of waiting or.......210 days.....I am close to a full gestation of a baby.....I think childbirth was easier then this crap.....and I did that 5 times...... augh this is sick...

There are not any new september filers that have been approved. Only the original 7 from the first part of the month have been approved. All the recent approvals have NOA1 dates in September, but they are all late August filers, which is not much better, and I understand the angst, but I want everyone to be on the same page.

Hi Guys. I am in Bogota for Christmas and thought I would stop in and see what is going on. I almost wish I didn´t after catching up on the posts. There has not been much progress since I left on the 18th has there?

As for Bella and me, our petition arrived at the embassy today (14 days after the NOA2) and we will be requesting an interview appointment tomorrow. If things proceed normally for Bogota, we should have our interview in February.

Lora, give me one good reason why i shouldn't keep on checking on ya'll? Without the support you guys have been given me i don't think that i would have been as patient as i was. Yes i had my downs sometimes but you guys always put me back up so getting approved wont make me forget all that.
Like i said, this is a great big family (to me) and i am gone stick here. I am not done with the process yet and even if i was, why not check in and say hi to the folks?

Got my RFE notice basically they want me to fill out the 325 form again with my maiden name information.......a little weird but I do not care.....I called the lawyers office and someone actually answered so I am overnighting the information to Vermont now......Yeah.......OMG this is soon moving on......Oscar is very happy that it is an easy fix..........Thanks Guys for putting up with my drama........O.K. VSC get your act together and finish May/June/July now.............

I am glad your RFE was something simple and hopefully they will start processing your petition again very quickly.

I am curious. Did the attorney use your married name in the first block of the G325A but leave the all other names used box blank?

Here is where I am going with this. Unless your attorney was provided incomplete or inaccurate information it is inexcusable that you received an RFE. This might be the ammunition you need to renegotiate your deal with the attorney. If I remember properly you paid for the attorney´s services through AOS. Given that your attorney was useless as your petition languished at USCIS if I were you I would be looking for any excuse I could find to get out of the deal. You don´t need to pay someone a fortune to fill out forms.

Just a thought. Please don´t think I am being critical. I was planning to use an attorney also until I found VJ.

He did fill out the first line with my married name and the second line where it said maiden name used he put none.......the RFE stated that I had provided inaccurate information. My ex husband gave my maiden name as the name for his military retirement benefits so of course the government has my maiden name and married attached to my SS#....I then became concerned later in the day that they were trying to get me for fraud or something....I am ticked at this lawyer though.....I paid him a ton of money for what he said was a quick easy guaranteed visa and it has been anything but that.......and the contract I signed was for everything though AOS........I had no idea about VJ....I wish I had because I think I could of done better then him....and I do not think you are being critical.....I was no too smart

The G325A does not ask for maiden names but it does ask for all other names used. One would think that would include maiden names but apparently your attorney did not read it that way.

I would not worry about fraud. It was an unintentional error and they just need to make sure everything matches up.

As to your attorney, I say dump him. I´m sure if you expressed your dissatisfaction (and I know you know how) that you can get him to refund part of your fees and you can take it yourself the rest of the way.

Doesn't seem that a lot is going on at VSC....

Mitch called them on Thursday using the RFE trick and managed to speak to a living person. The officer said that our petition is quote "on the hold shelf".... and hasn't even been assigned to an adjudicator yet,and that we shall call again by the end of January.

And the phone call didn't even cause a "touched".

In any case, I am not sure I would believe what you were told about being on the hold shelf. That sounds like a "tell them anything to get them off the phone" answer to me.
