Hi folks, just passing by to see what the movements on here. Congrats to the recent approval!!
It is depressing to see how some of us are getting approved in a heart beat and others are not. I am at the end of my strength, seriously i dont know what else we could do but WAIT! However, i am happy for those who dont have to go through this. I Don't beleive there's a hell anywhere else, to me hell is all the bad we go through in live for exemple dealing with the VSC. All of them at the VSC will spent x-mas and news years with there loved ones and we will be missing ours does this make any sence? No, so this is hell to me.

Mirla, i know you are one of the sunshines on here and i thank you for your optimism but right now i don't have any. I just feel like going to the VCS and punch somebody in the face. I am angry, sad and hopeless.

I know the waiting is hard - I was actually prepared to wait a full 150 days up to Feb 5th for an approval. I never in my wildest dreams expected to get one this soon. As happy as I am for our approval, I pray that you guys get yours - Mel & Syl, Virg, Mirla, and most of all Osloratamm. Lora - you can't let this get you depressed honey - you have to be strong and hang in there. At least now we know they are working on your case - you said there were a few touches after you called last week. I'm going to pray that you guys get approved........I still can't believe we got approved!

Hey Mel.....I know you guys are going through Sentator Webbs office.....I have been on the phone all morning with the Richmond office and I sent them the breakdown of the VJ approvals and I mentioned you guys....I hope you do not mind .......I want some Congressional action here NOW......I think she is pretty sick of hearing from me....I went to the immigration office here and was turned away because they do not research pending cases.... Rude people.......I called customer service and VSC is still processing May 19......X 5 weeks so she told me to go to a local immigration office at which I laughed and told her I just got sent away from one.......then she said...."Is there anything else I can do for you"..........I can understand the thoughts of going "postal"....this is insane......then of course I got the...."thank You for calling USCIS...Have a nice day........".......augh......I hate them

He said that Senator Webb's office sent him a form that he has to fill out and send back to them. I dont know what form it is but i'll found out more later on when i call him. Dont worry about the name Lora, Mel said that he will bring the form to them and he will get someone to listen. We also gone be on it even after we have finished, this is not supposed to happen. We all payed for the service and all we get is a mess, something has to be done. Homeland security a big disgrace to the great nation and they will hear about it.

Does anyone know why USCIS haven't updated their Processing Time this month yet?
I don't think I ever saw a month where it wasn't updated before the 15th.

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

I hope this means they are actively working on it and not using it as a placemat for their lunch.

Question on Packet 3:

For Packet 3 (K1 visa), do you have to submit DS-15k or DS-156K?

Are there any other forms to be submitted?

If you are talking about in order to get packet 4 then it is the DS 230 part 1 that you rteturn in order to get packet 4 (at least that is how it is at most consulates).

The other forms you need are DS 156, DS 156K and DS 157 (if you are male -- not really sure about this, it may be consulate specific). Those are not needed until the interview.

Well my guess is if they update there website they are going to get alot of request for service.......there will be alot of petitions like ours filed the end of May first part of June that are outside of there processing time and they will have to do something about it....If they do not update it they can continue to say they are processing May 19th and tell us we are within there service times..........So do not tell me this is not intentional on there part.....It is obvious

Just a note about your timeline... You have your RFE dated 12.12 but in your comments it says sent 12.05. I think you should update the actual timeline date to 12.05 since I believe that's what people are going to use to compare statistically how long it takes from getting an RFE to getting NOA2. I think.

So the USCIS website says they mailed out the NOA2 on December 16th. Does that mean that NVC should get our packet by Monday, Dec 24th? Should I call them next Wednesday on the 26th? or Monday?

Do they assign a new case number? which would mean the original EAC number issued by USCIS/Vermont would no longer be valid? If it is not valid, how would they know what to look for?

I looked at other timelines and based on the stats, I think our interview date will be scheduled for sometime in March but what the hell do I know. I can only hope that we get issued the visa right then and there.

I met a couple at the airport coming back in November and they went in for their interview that Thursday and she was issued the visa the same day! (I travelled home the following Monday).

In addition to that, I know three couples that were put on Administrative Review (AR) - if we get put on AR that would mean we would have to wait until at least next September before he gets here - that would be a six month wait and that is the worse case scenario. I dont' know if it can get much worse than six months!

I would call NVC today. They should have it. 603-334-0700, 1 ,5. Make sure you talk to someone because the K1 will not be in the automated system. They do assign a new case number so be sure to get it. You will have to give them your EACxxxxxxx number and they can look it up.

Not all couples go through AP/AR and even if you do it can last anywhere from 2 days to months to years.

I think so many got approved that the Old Crowd is less active in the pending thread. But it's okay. A lot them still check in. And some of us are so frustrated from waiting, for RFE returns or simply approvals that its too frustrating to stick around.

I haven't forgotten you guys!! I check all the time to see if you guys are finally approved. I really cannot understand what the big freaking deal is at VSC and why you guys are continually lied to! I pray that you guys will be approved NOW!

My case status online and email told me about my RFE on 12/5 but I didn't get the actual letter until 12/12. I will edit my timeline. Thanks!
