Zee, I'm so sorry...but pray that you will be reunited in August as planned. I certainly wouldn't wish a delay or denial or anything like that on anyone, especially you!!!!
AND
Virgil, congratulations on the scheduled interview--->I'm sure you are having your fiance practice, practice, practice ALL the posted interview questions on this site and commit the answers to memory, right? star_smile.gif
AND
Jason, congratulations on the impending arrival of your fiance!!!
AND
All the best to everyone else I might have missed.

Hi Wendy! Thanks alot. We're tickled like 2 children before Christmas. Haven't see you in a while. And reading your signature timeline is a little confusing to me. I'm not sure where exactly you are in your process. But I hope you're doing well and maintaining your optimism. You sure do get mentioned alot on these forums though. You're like our local VJ celebrity. cool.gif

(time to run off and investigate your current status...)

KimandRuss....I'm just watching the clock ClockWatch2.gif

Well.....my timeline confuses me too!!! Basically, I had to put the events on my signature....because we are in 'review status' and there aren't a lot of options for that in the timeline format we are given. Basically, we are still waiting for our first petition to be reaffirmed. The 'official' timeline reflects our 2nd petition.....which I filed in case the first was either refused or expired....USCIS in Vermont and California have different procedures for petitions returned/refused by the embassies. Hope that makes things a little more clear.
OMG-->more talking about me here? I can only imagine.......still, it's nice to be considered a bit of a celebrity...although I wish my 15 minutes of fame would be over already. Anyway, I'm hanging in there...back in the states because it just got a bit scary over there in Albania....it's a long story, but it's amazing how foreign countries view Americans.....many think we are all filthy rich and that can invite unwanted attention. There is a lot of corruption in some of these countries and really, the police can't protect you....particularly if THEY are corrupt also. Besides, I am broke and I need a job if I do want to get my fiance over here. I had planned to make a life there, but I'd have to sell everything and after I realized it wasn't going to be a safe place for me, I really had no option but to return home....and that was REALLY hard for me because you KNOW i'm a fighter headbonk.gif , but common sense FINALLY won over.
So, here I am. smile.gif
Congratulations again.
FYI-Maybe you all already know but Gonzales resigned from USCIS and....
unfortunately so did the Ombudsman (leave DHS)
I'm happy about the first, but not the second. The Ombudsman really worked hard to try and effect change at USCIS, but after July 2007, USCIS just stopped responding to his recommendations......heck, I'd resign too. What's the point....like rolling a boulder up a hill, only to watch it keep falling down. wacko.gif

I am back guys, hello everyone! I know it has been a long time but now i am back and very happy to read about all the good news.
Virgil, Carlene and Lora finally have great news, i am so happy for you guys i was hoping to read this news. I just go internet yesterday and i had to come and check on my VJ-Family.

As some of you know, i entered the US on march 3rd my POE was JFK and i had 1hour time to catch my connecting flight. When i got there i had to wait for about 15 min and then they took my fingerprint and the officer sent me to that office to get my work stamp for 90 days. I went in there and waited for 5 min and got
my passport with the stamp back, then i picked up my baggage and went on the next flight, everything took me about 35 min. I was so happy that finally something went smooth and Mel came to pick us up with roses, he gave my daughter white ones and i had red ones very sweet of him. We had to get married earlier than planed because his job is sending him on a trip sometime next week, so we got married on march 14th. It was just us and my little girl but it was very nice, tomorrow we are going to pick up the pictures, i cant wait to see them. After the wedding we went to the SSN office to apply for the SSN number, we also had the marriage cert with us but they didnt want to put my new name on it. They said they will make it in my maiden name and i should come back later to get it changed. My daughter couldnt get a SSN because she doesnt have a work authorization. They told us to file the Forms either I-766 or I-688B but we couldnt get those forms from no where. We tried to make an infopass to go to local office but it is saying on their website that there is no appointment in order to get forms. Now i am confused, i dont know how to get my little girl a SSN. Maybe one of you guys knows what i have to do or what i can do.

However its good to be back and i am very happy for all the approvals, medicals and interviews that are coming up.

Zee, i am so sorry to hear about your case you have the best attitude someone can have in such a situation. God will see you through, you are great!

God bless you all and greetings from Norfok-VA my new home kicking.gif kicking.gif

I live in historic Williamsburg. biggrin.gif

Well, only 24 hours or so before Sasha gets here. I'm immersed in a frantic cleaning frenzy. Its funny how we watch the clock and wish time would move faster when we're waiting for our loved ones, then during the final week, we stress over having not enough time to finish everything! Lol laughing.gif headbonk.gif

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

How is everyone especially the july filers. I 'm still dealing with NOTICE OF INTENT TO DENY. CSC promised to make a decision on my case within 60 days after I returned the requested documents for NOID (IMBRA) but 60 days passed no decision. One rep said its security check, the other said its background check, another indefinite waiting game. I was put under IMBRA which in no way I should have been. I didnt meet fiance through no broker, and I had filed K-3 before and no prior K-1. There was a thread of how some guys waiting 1 yr and 9 months on similar issue and still waiting but I dont want to send up like that. Anyway if anyone have any suggestion or input on what to do I will ike to hear from you.
Thanks

And another 2 were approved this weekend for February filers. It's amazing that 37% of Feb filers are already approved, and we're barely 3 weeks into March! Go VSC!

It's par for the course I think.......At this point it is just amusing to me that they seem so very proud of themselves.......Basically I am thinking it just was incrediable bad timing on all our parts and total unpreparedness and lack of vision on there part....I hope in the long run they can learn from all of this and plan there next increase in fees with increase in processors....... blink.gif blush.gif

ooooo look at that list dwindling!!

Good to see you trinner! Let us know when she gets her interview date!

In the beginning of the month, VSC had really been cranking. The week of March 2nd they approved 39 petitions (NOA2), 31 on the week of the 9th, and 21 on the week of the 16th. But this week has been pathetic... only 8 approvals so far... mellow.gif Maybe a bunch of the folks took Easter vacation this week? I sure hope it picks up again next week, as I have recently discovered that I am not nearly as patient a person as I thought I was...

Good to see you trinner! Let us know when she gets her interview date!

Thanks! I'm extremely grumpy with myself... I did soooo much research about the filing process, and spent time toying with generating lists, etc... and I realize now that I didn't do enough learning about the post NOA2 requirements. I mostly knew everything, but didn't realize she needs things like the long form of her birth certificate (she only has the short), etc. So I'm costing us time (a week and a half) as we are gathering the other things we need instead of being able to respond to packet 3 immediately. sad.gif

But I hope that we will have everything on 3/31 and can send the checklist to the embassy then.

I bet you are getting excited... the time is getting very close for your petition filing... biggrin.gif

Can't believe we've moved up to #21 on the total list (both a good and bad thing).

Glad so many have been approved who were waiting before us... but it's getting frustrating.

Is it the RFE holding it up? Who knows. I'm trying not to blame them for being too picky, but I can't help but think our RFE was a bit of a stretch. Apparently a birth certificate and all pages of my valid passport were not enough proof of identity and citizenship. Had to send in expired passport in maiden name and SS cards in maiden and married name. I also sent in certificates issued by our church for my baptismal and marriage.

Pffft.

psiprez - I'm sad you've had such difficulties. And I'm afraid I don't have good news for you, either. You've only moved up one spot since the last list. VSC was really cruising for a while... but has slowed down considerably lately. I'm hoping it is just a temporary hitch, and they will be back on track soon...

Lora - EXCELLENT. This time has been soooooo long in coming. Congratulations to you both, and I wish you a speedy and safe journey with your love.
