I'm glad you find the list helpful. I wrote a program to automatically pull the names and information from the timeline system. As long as you have created a timeline and entered your data (which I see you have), you will automatically be in the next list. (I usually generate and post the list updates on Wednesdays and Sundays - and when I just ran it, I see that you are listed.)

I went on dhl tracking by reference and I am pretty sure our petition left NVC on Feb 8th and left Miami on Feb 9th for Lima..........I am so happy......I called Oscar and started to cry....He thought I was sick again with my pacer.....but I just feel so HAPPY.........I am hoping to be like Mirla with a 3 week interview date.....this whole process has been exactly 1 month behind her from filing to approval now I hope Visa issuance........She arrives in New York today.......Congrats to her and Pat..........


Now I still need to do the approval dance for Ric and Virgil........Come On Now VSC........Bring them on now

No you aren't blind. At first, I thought there was either a bug in my stats program or in the timeline system database... but now I realize why you aren't on the list.

I previously sorted this waiting list by the NOA1 issue date. Then just a little while ago I switched (after wise insight of several members) to the petition SENT date. However, my program still does the search to the timeline system by NOA1 issue date.

So I looked at your timeline and see you don't have an NOA1 date listed, so when it searched the database, you weren't in the results yet.

I should change the search to use the SENT date. But otherwise, as soon as you get and enter your NOA1, you will be in the list.

Sorry for making you sad... you exist after all, I promise.

Some time ago I've also bumped into the same issue with my list. So, as you make changes, I wanted to give you a heads up before you bump into the second problem. There's also a class of timelines that have an NOA1, but no SENT date. I've found it necessary to do both searches and combine the results.

Ahh yes - great tip! This makes good sense. In code I already use the NOA1 date if there is no sent date. But you are right, the database query needs to handle both.

And WOW - your timeline work is awesome! Very clever!

regarding the RFE, i think it depends on how long it takes them to get to your petition.
we applied in July, and got an RFE in December!! but i think that's just how long it took them to look at our petition. i know some people were calling USCIS, using the "RFE trick", but i don't know if they could ever find out any information that way??

anyone have any insight?

i called NVC today... i couldn't help it.
They said they received our petition on Friday, alhamdulilah!

And then the very nice lady said they'd be sending it to Morocco within 5 to 10 days.
i looked on the DHL website and did that little trick someone mentioned somewhere on this site, and i saw a package going to Casablanca scheduled to ship out today!! is that us? could that be us???

i was so discombobulated on the phone, that i forgot to ask for the new NVC ##.
i'm not too quick on my feet. it's been so long it's hard for me to realize that it's moving again!

I haven't been on here in a bit... everything just going along smoothly and I had no updates to share. But now I'm just plain frustrated and I'm looking for some ideas.

Last Wednesday I shipped all my documents to my fiance for his interview. I made copies everything before shipping it off. I sent him originals of my boarding passes, birth certificate, receipts of when I was in India visiting last, bank letter, employer letter, pay stubs, w-2's etc.

Well... the box is now officially lost! I mailed it through the United States Postal Service Global Express Guaranteed (via Fed Ex). The post office knows they accpted the package from me, but has no idea what happened to it. Fed Ex has no account of receiving the package.

My fiance's interview is not until April, but I don't know how to get some of the originals (i.e. pay stubs, w-2's, boarding passes and receipts).

I feel like just sitting down and crying. I feel like this process has taken a long time already and has so many hiccups.

Anyone with advice?

We have a lawyer that hasn't been worth his salt. He went crazy when I told him that I sent him originals. I had to point out to him that the packet 4 asked us for them.

sorry guys.... something wacky was going on with my computer. And now I don't know how to delete my multiple posts.

Did you ship it using the flat rate box from USPS? I too shipped my fiance all the important docs using them and even though they say 6-10 days...that is a joke. Once it left here there was no way I could track it. The last statement on the tracking was that it left some sorting facility in NJ for international something or other. The thing with using USPS is that it stays in customs forever. My fiance got my information a month after I sent it.

That is just my experience. I don't know about the specifics when sending to India. It may be the same.

I actually shipped it in a larger box with Christmas packages (yes I know it's February...).

It's not so much the not getting to my fiance yet part that I'm worried about. It's the fact that the tracking number that I was given only shows "accepted" and Fed Ex claims the postal service never has given them the package.

I've visited the local post office yesterday and they claimed they sent it to a central processing center. The local post office agrees that the box is lost.

I have to say that I am happy that this was to be transferred to Fed Ex. They have called me each morning with an update. Of course the update is to tell me it's still lost, but still I think that's nice.

Ironicly I put all the things in a Staples box that read "That was Easy!"
