UPDATE- 2 October filers went through on Monday and 2 Octobers came through today...

I hate these people. I called today to ask them to do an expedite and they told me I wasn't in an emergency situation, and nor was I miltary so, tough sh*t.

WHAT BULLSHIT! I can't believe this is happening. Why can't they just friggin organize themselves? Oh wait, that would take THINKING!!!!
I am STILL waiting on my interview date. Haven't heard anything since I sent in my packet 3. Ugh...will this ever end?

I know there are people far worse off then we are.....but after 8 months I am loosing my ability to even be human about this whole thing......It just sucks

who is to know if this is true or not but the officer at VSC said it was assigned today to an officer....which can mean another 30 days........Can I cry now????......maybe 9 months ....wow......sucks to be a May/June/July filer sometimes

You are correct....you really can't believe what they say...but maybe it was and maybe you will be the first on the
stack and it only takes 15 min. to adjudicate an application...so it could be today!!!!!!!!!

well I just got a call from the Congressman's office....she said "VSC knows it has really muffed up this case....that they really did not need the 325 it was a mistake"...........I now feel sick....... 
....now she is telling me that they will move it along faster.........so being the smart a** I am I said....what is there version of fast because I have had 8 months of there processing within there service time??? She said if I heard nothing by next Friday call her back.............

I know very little can be said to make this whole process feel better, But there is a light at the end of the this dark hole. So keep your chin up girl.

It's amazing the bad luck you had to lose your original priority date of may, then you get a new july priority date which they started processing in september but you turn out to be one of the lucky 10% in a month who get left behind
Any normal operation would have told you sorry we screwed up will do yours right away, but they actually made it worse!?!

one that stated "if you have a problem etc...." and I went that route..,
The lady I talked with was very kind and she was apologetic about the situation we were in and she
filled out a "service inquiry" while I was on the phone....and she sent it to Vermont and then she said....
"We have to say that you must wait 30 days for the response, but they normally send out a response sooner...15 days"...
and then I asked her what this inquiry would do...
She said that there is a special officer that handles inquiries and he was required to find (handle) the file, look at it and
send a response about the case to the person.
Well...we will see what happens....I will keep everyone posted....

I did that yesterday also.....the lady was also very nice.....keep saying "oh my this has been a long time......I am sorry....but with the rfe I have to wait 30 more days".......Oh well at this point what can a person do......My real problem has always been the strain this has put on Os and I as a couple......I have been married before and know the strains of separations....my first husband was military......it can take an awful toll.......I just keep hoping for the best and believing in our love for each other

Hello Everyone..
It's been awhile since i have posted on visa journey but just wanted to share the good news we have recieved to everyone. Maybe this post may help out those who are waiting to recieve a visa for their loved ones.
I originally filed the I-129F back on sep 5th and recieved our NOA 2 on December 28th. I had originally planned a trip to see my fiancee on January 22nd and ever since i have been here since that date things have gone so fast that we have recieved our VISA
I got here on the 22nd of January in the mindframe that i will have a little vacation with my loved one, her family, see panama, try to get an interview date and go back home to the states. However, when we went to pick up packet 3 from the consulate, the lady was soo nice she asked up to come back the next day and turn in all the paperwork so she can give us an interview the following week. We went bak the next day and she assigned us an interview for the 30th of jan and told us to go do the medical straight away so they can recieve the results by the interview date.
The consular lady was happy with the fact that we were punctual and precise with our paperwork and that we had everything organized. We did as she said and went for the interview yesterday and got our visa. We were only asked a few questions such as, what kind of work does the petitioner do and asked her to explain what was happening in our pictures. Other than that it was pretty simple. I was there with her for morale support thinking they will want to ask me questions also, but they did not care about me.
we are so happy that this part of the journey is almost over and are more than happy to begin the next one (AOS), which im not worried about. All in all it took us less than 5 months for everything, which i am still shocked about.
Everyone has been a great on here and it has been a great help reading all your posts day in, day out.

I put mine in on Wednesday. With the world's ditziest Customer Service Rep. She asked for my alien registration number. I had to tell her I wasn't; an alien. *sigh*

I don't know. I try not to look because I'll get discouraged about the additional wait on the other end.... But maybe poke your nose over to the regional forum? The UK forum is full of friendly people
