We got a touch today. Hopefully it was them shipping our application to the NVC.

DOS takes calls Mon through Fri from 8:30 to 5:00 US east coast time. Wait time normally varies between 3 and 10 minutes. If the wait gets longer they won't let you into the queue.

No touches. No approval. No word back from my senator. I'll probably call tomorrow to make sure they actually recieved the fax that sent last monday/ it went to correct office.

Holy smokes!! That was really fast. Moving like lightning now. You found out you were approved and received your interview date in less than a week. And your interview is like less than 3 weeks away!! That's amazing. Congratulations. You're almost home. Good luck Mirla. And make sure Pat gets all the documents to you quickly. You have very little time to get your medical, documents, etc. But I'm sure you will make it.

Good to hear from you......wish you would hear something though.........Mental health days are a necessary fact of life for early June filers at this point....I talked with Virgil and he is waiting for answers from everyone also.....what a nightmare.......Every morning I wake up and hope this is the day for all of us........I just do not get it.........They approve October.....89 days after they file and we are pushing to 230 and nothing........I have just about lost my mind that is why I going to Peru for a chance to reconnect and decompress..........I really hope soon we will move from this hole called VSC.....and then move as fast as Mirla the rest of the way..........

Its horrible that there are still filers waiting from May, June and July. The good news is that VSC is pumping those approvals out at a good pace. I've noticed in other threads that there are September filers complaining about VSC. It must make the older filers sick to the stomach. Hang in there, guys. Mirla's recent success should give some real hope to you. I hope you all get your approvals very soon....

Got our medical exam date today-February 2nd!!! Can any UK people tell me whether your fiance's needed to bring their vaccination records to the medical? The embassy website says fiance visa people don't have to, but the medical people are saying yes. Any insight would be helpful.

my fiance just this minute got back from his medical in London. He asked the doctor about his vaccinations, and the doctor told him that the vaccinations aren't for the K-1 visa, they're for adjusting status later on. So although the vaccinations aren't necessary for the K-1 visa, you'll have to get them (or show proof of them) for the AOS part of the process. If you don't have all the necessary vaccinations yet, you can get your GP to do them (usually for free), have them print out a copy of the vaccinations that were done, have the doctor sign and stamp it, and then it's ready for the adjustment of status part of the process. Hope that helps!

Hopefully you will! London is taking two or three months for an interview, but I can wait at that point, easy enough. As long as I know the end is actually coming, I can deal! We're not putting his notice in that he's leaving until he's approved anyway, and that'll be another month at least. But I'd like to get a move on!

I keep thinking when I sign in that I'll have gotten a touch, at least, but no. I seriously, just think they lost it, even if they said its with an adjudicator. If that was the case I'd get a touch, and they've been saying that since Thanksgiving. Maybe my adjudicator took a REALLY LONG holiday vacation.. thanksgiving through Valentines.

I agree...it seems that others normally got touches...and then the approval....however there were some weird cases that would just show up by snail mail and never show a touch or email or anything.

In a way that would be nice and then you don't have to wait 7-10 days for the hard copy to show up...I would take that!!!!

That's true! I was approved on January 2 (last touch) then I didn't know anything till last friday when Pat got the NOA2 on the mail. No e-mail, no update on the website!! Nothing! And on friday my interview was already scheduled!!!

About the vaccinations....what happens if you have lost your records....???? I do have all the vaccinations I was suppose to get but I don't have the card......

I just looked at the recent NOA2s from Vermont and here's how they play out:

July NOA1: 1
August NOA1: 4
September NOA1: 4
October NOA1: 11

We don't have an interview date yet, because we're still waiting to get back our police certificate. Don't want to send off the completed checklist until we have all our ducks in a row! Right now it looks like London isn't scheduling them that far out, or at least as far as I can tell they aren't. On the London embassy interview thread, I think the furthest they are scheduled right now is 2/14/08 (obviously this is only info compiled from the VJ people that have found that particular thread!)

@Mirla- my fiance had his shots done too, but his surgery lost the record of it. He's got some basic info from his childhood, saying he had the initial shots. Now he'll have to get the booster shots that are required for the US. Check with your doctor (or whomever might have given the shots) to see if they have any kind of record, and if you can get the basic record, you will just need boosters. I'm not sure what they'll want you to do if you can't find any record of your shots.... good luck! glad to see you've finally got the NOA2!!!

Yeah, 75% from September and October while there are at least 70 people who filed earlier that are still without answers. That and my Senator hasn't even responded to my request yet make me very angry at this government.

The last person from June that called was fed the same line of crap that they have been giving for months.

I called the rfe line and got that I had to wait for 60 days after they recieved the rfe before they would check the pulse of the adjudicator....then they may realize they are not WORKING.....because they are dead......

You don't call London to book your interview, they send you the date in Packet 4.

I just got an email from Senator Clinton asking for more info regarding the letter/email I had sent to them months ago, whenever it was we were all sending letters! Ridiculous! I got my NOA2 at the end of November, and they are just now getting back to me about this?! whatever.

I asked if they could check the pulse for me.....the guy laughed....I told him I knew CPR if needed...then he said you would get an answer soon

The same thing happened to me. I got an e-mail with the provacy notice for me to fill out so that they could look at my case. I said it was a little too late for that.

You could send them back an email letting them know the problem of them NOT doing files in order and the confusion
and hurt is causes those in this process....being lied to that "files are done in the order they are received"....
This is what make people so IRATE!!!!!!!!!! We can take the process if it is FAIR and done as it should be.

If anyone can do something about that one issue it would be well worth it.

I called and talked to a lady at VSC and she actually put me on hold and (presumably didn't fetch herself a coffee) checked on my case. She actually thought the current processing date was June 1! I had to tell her I wish that it were! But anyway, she said my case was 'where it needed to be to make a decision' (whatever that means) and i should hear in a week to ten days. Of course I don't believe a lick of it, but I was advised to write down the name of any officers or customer service agents I speak to and what they said to me. So, recorded. But anyway. Fun.
